HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 734. This has been a tough and crazy day, and it just promises to get tougher and crazier tomorrow. Please pray for us. It's also the reason I have no pictures today.
I headed to bed at 12:30 am last night. At 2 am Emmy came to me and I walked him back to bed - three times. He kept coming back, so I finally let him climb into bed with us. However, we have a small bed, and I didn't have enough room, so I did not sleep well. And Emmy was up early, then woke his sister up, and then came crying for food and throwing a fit until I got up to make their breakfast. I was so very tired!
After breakfast I cleaned them up, fought them to brush their teeth, dressed them and went downstairs with them. I turned worship music on, and they started playing. When Randy came, I left them to go finish cleaning up and then lay back down. I was so tired that working was not an option.
We had decided to have lunch at 11:30 again, but we'll probably swith it back to 11. Sonja arrived at 10:30, and that's when I got up to open the door for her. A few minutes later I got up for good and started cooking. It was before 11:30, when I called them upstairs to eat. Randy told me that he had kept Emmy from falling asleep today, but he was so tired that he wouldn't eat. So 11 am it is again. Of course we know that it he probably did not eat because he felt bad. I put him to bed, after he had eaten a little after all, and he fell asleep right away. Then I put Sammy to bed, and Sonja went downstairs with Tammy. Just after 12:30 Tammy lay down to sleep. When she was crying for Sonja, I asked Sonja to come sit by her bed for a while, until she'd fall asleep, which didn't take long. But Emmy woke up after only half an hour of sleep, and so I had to lie down in bed with him. He rested for a while but not very long. He wanted Sonja, and so he went downstairs with her.
Randy was at the grocery store, and I was working. At about 2:30 both Tammy and Sammy woke. That had been a very long nap for Sammy, over two hours, which is highly unusual. The price for that was that he couldn't fall asleep at night. I watched them interact with each other in their beds, as their beds are touching, which was so very cute. Then I took them both downstairs to Sonja, and also took some food with me so she could feed them. I also got some clothes and shoes for them to go outside for a little, which they did. It was a cold and at times rainy day, so they didn't stay long.
I was working, when Sonja came upstairs with Emmy which is very unusual. He was extremely tired, which was no surprise after only thirty minutes of sleep. He didn't want to go into his bed, so I lay down with him, and he slept on me for a good while. At 5 pm I decided I needed to get up so he'd still sleep at night. And I could hear Tammy asking for me. I'm usually with them at that time.
I had noticed earlier how hot Emmy's body was and measured him which confirmed that he had a fever, and we gave him a suppository. By 5 pm that was already wearing off. Tammy was so happy to see me. Sonja had to leave, and so I had all three close to me. We had a good time together, and I enjoyed some quality time with all three.
I knew that they would not stay downstairs, when I had to go get their food ready at 5:30, and so we all went upstairs. I put two chairs into the kitchen that they stood on, while I was making their food and putting it on their plates in front of them. Including salami that they asked for. By 6 pm we were sitting down at the table, but Emmy and Tammy were not eating anything else. Emmy was sitting on my lap, not feeling well. We still all went into the bathtub. They both had some more food there, and so did Sammy. Emmy came out first, though, because he didn't have fun, while the other two stayed a little longer. Then they went to bed. Emmy fell asleep quickly without needing any help. Tammy called especially Daddy for a while, but stayed in bed and fell asleep on her own. However, Sammy was still up and crying. Ironically he was the only one awake and crying. I had to pick him up and hold him several times, before he finally fell asleep. Both Emmy and Tammy woke up in the process a few times. At 9 pm we gave Emmy another suppository, as the fever was the highest yet, and it has gone down now. However, he's waking up every few minutes and calling me. I then hold him for a few minutes and put him back in bed. We've done this countless times already tonight, and it makes me worry about what this night is going to look like. And we have to leave the house at 6:30 to take the train to another city, where I do a presentation at a church, then we have lunch with the pastor and take the train back to Vienna. That's hard enough when they're not sick, but if Emmy feels like this tomorrow, it's going to be even harder. Please pray for a good night and good day tomorrow!
