Last night it was half past midnight, when I went to bed, and this morning we got up at 8 am as usual, and I never had a nap all day, and I can tell, being pretty tired. But I got a lot of work done.

After breakfast I took them downstairs and played with them until Randy came with his breakfast. Then I went upstairs to clean up and started doing office work. I have to close the bedroom door, so I barely hear their crying, as my first instinct is to check on them to find out what's wrong.

Today was food jar day, so I just turned the warmer on and continued working until just before meal time. I put the content of the jars onto their plates and called them upstairs to eat. It's time to get rid of all the jars. I was surprised when both Emmy or Tammy refused to eat any of it. Emmy took one bite, and Tammy not even that. I guess they asserted that they are not babies any more who need to eat baby food. I had no choise but to take it away and quickly come up with something else to feed them. I cut some bread and put peanut butter on it, and got out the watermelon, banana and yoghurt. They loved the peanut butter bread and ate a lot of it. At least Sammy ate his baby food jar.

I cleaned them up and dressed them and put the boys to bed. As it was omelet day, Randy started working on those, while I had Tammy. We read the whole children's Bible together that I have in our bedroom. By the time we were done, the boys were still not sleeping. I put Tammy down, and had to go twice to help Emmy fall asleep. After the second time he fell asleep quickly and could then put Tammy to bed as well, and it didn't take her long either.

I ate my omelet and then went back to working. Emmy already woke up after less than an hour and wouldn't sleep on me, so Randy went downstairs with him. Sammy still slept for a while, and then I took him downstairs. Finally Tammy woke up, and even though it was still relatively early, 2 pm, I called the boys upstairs and we sat down to eat the afternoon meal. They were nodding their heads at the table again, and Emmy is now getting better at it - he's nearly there. He thinks it's really funny, and I think so too.

After cleaning them up and dressing them, we went downstairs, and Randy left to go to the grocery store. He was gone way longer than usual, and so I had two hours to play with them. Emmy wanted to play with the chairs and had me bring them into their play area. They were moving them around and sitting and standing on them. Sammy also crawled to them to play with them.

I was cleaning up the toys, putting them back onto the shelves, which we don't do often enough, and then decided to turn the shelves around again, as it had been weeks since the last time. Immediately they were very busy checking out the new old toys. As always they went into the swing, and had me read books to them, besides some physical fun.

When Randy came down at 4:30, I went upstairs to work for another half hour before starting to make their food. Just after 5:30 they came upstairs to eat it, then went into the bathtub and then to bed. Today it was Emmy and Tammy who had runny noses all day, while Sammy's is better, and now I do as well. So they've been a little restless tonight, certainly from not being able to breathe through their noses. When they went to bed, I walked away right away. I had to come back briefly for Emmy once, but then he fell asleep. It wasn't long before it was only Sammy who was still wide awake and having fun. It took a long time before he finally fell asleep.

I made my food, ate, and went back to work, then took a break to clean up. Now I still have a little bit time left until midnight.
