HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 812. Last night I headed to bed just before 1 am. At some point Tammy and Emmy both joined us in bed, and they were up around 6:30 again. Just after 7 pm I got up to make breakfast.
After breakfast we went downstairs, where I got the new Bible out, and we sat down to read it. When Randy came, I left them to go upstairs, finished cleaning up and then sat down to do office work. After a while I was getting really tired and around 10 am I fell asleep. as I could not fight it any longer. I woke up 80 minutes later. It was time to go to the kitchen to make lunch. It was tough to get up.
At noon I called everyone upstairs to eat. I was glad that they were eating somewhat, and while it wasn't much, I gave them both their puddings in the bathtub. It's also where I fed Sammy his high calorie pudding. After a while we got them all out and dressed them and put the boys to bed. Randy sat down with them, and I took Tammy downstairs. She had been saying "Mali" and/or "malen" (drawing), and so I got the table down, got some paper and the crayons, and Tammy started drawing, doing a great job. She's really holding the crayons perfectly for writing. We had great fun filling two big pages with all the drawings. Then she watched a few minutes of "Barbapapa", and then we went upstairs. The boys had already gone to bed at 12:30, now it was 1 pm.
I found Emmy sleeping on sleeping Randy and put him to bed. Randy then picked up Tammy to hold her, and the same thing happened again. Quite a while later I picked up Tammy from her sleeping Daddy and put her to bed.
Today it was Emmy who woke up first, and he wanted his Daddy, and so Randy went downstairs with him. It was about 2:15 pm. Tammy woke up next and went downstairs as well, but she was very cranky and wanted to lie on my chest. And so I sat on the couch downstairs and held for a while. Finally she let me put her on Randy's chest. Sammy woke up next and also went downstairs. I also took their snacks downstairs, as it was going on 3 pm. We had just over an hour left until leaving.
I was making their dinner-to-go, but still heard Tammy crying for me. After I was done, I went downstairs to get her, and of course Emmy wanted to come too. And so I put their clothes on. A little while later Randy and Sammy came, and soon we were all ready to leave for church.
We had left early which meant a 15 minute wait time for the train, and so we decided to take the subway instead. We needed two subways and a tram, and in the end we arrived at church maybe 5 minutes earlier than we would have waiting for the train.
We went to the front, but there weren't any flags there yet. They put them out a little later, and Tammy and Emmy went for it. Emmy got himself a long, white band on a stick, and he waved it more skillfully than ever. Tammy had different colored fabrics she was waving, and so did Sammy. They were obviously having fun. It had been way too long since we had been there, with their long sickness and all.
After half an hour I took Tammy and Emmy to go upstairs to the toddler room with them. Sammy was cranky, and so Randy decided to come with him as well. We were the first ones up there and sat down at the table to eat - except for Tammy and Emmy who went straight fo rthe toys. And so Sammy was the only one eating, even as other kids arrived. A little later I took the box to them and they ate a little.
They were having fun. Emmy sat down with one Mom and she was reading to him. Then they played a game, together with her daughter. Randy left, and so I sat down with Sammy where the program was gonna be. It was sweet, when the teacher lay down on the floor to be on the same level with Sammy.
The program started, and both Tammy and Emmy participated more than ever in the actions of the song. They held their Bibles up with the corresponding song. They did not participate in the activity the teacher had for them.
After the program Randy came to pick up Sammy, and Tammy and Emmy continued playing for a while. Then we all put our shoes back on and went downstairs, where Randy was already on the bottom of the stairs. As soon as we got down, Emmy was asking for Anna, and he kept asking for her and looking around. She's usually at the bottom of the stairs, when we come down, but she wasn't there tonight. I felt for Emmy who could not understand why she wasn't there.
It was getting late, and the service wasn't over yet, and so we decided to leave. On our way out we ran into one of the leaders. We talked for a little bit, and then he prayed for Randy to be healed, which was sweet. Then we left to walk to the tram station. We were lucky, as the tram arrived right away, and that way we also made the 7:30 pm train back home. A few minutes later we were home.
Tammy and Emmy hadn't eaten much, and so Tammy asked right away for squeezy drinks which she really enjoys right now. She drank 4 of them, while Emmy had two. We got them all ready for bed, but they seemed not interested in sleeping. Randy sat with them at first, but then I took over. It was 8:45 pm before they were all asleep.
I went downstairs, where Randy was waiting for me with our delivered dinner. We watched the second half of last week's movie, while eating. Then I went back to work. Randy went to bed after a while, and I continued working in the kitchen. But at some point I simply got too tired to continue and had to stop. I did the dishes and went to bed at 12:20 pm.
