HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 881. Last night I headed to bed just after midnight. I turned the ocean sounds off, and then Emmy was already crying for me and trying to get into bed with me, which I did not allow. And so it took at least an hour before he finally stayed in his bed, and I was able to fall asleep. Some time during the night they both crawled into bed with us. But they were up really early this morning, some time around 6 am. I kept telling them to go back to sleep, that it was not time to get up yet. I'm not sure, when we actually did get up, but it was somewhere around 7:30. And Randy got up before me, which is rare. That way they all had fresh diapers and were ready to eat before I had it ready.
After breakfast I cleaned them up and dressed them, and we went downstairs, where we read a Bible story. Then I went upstairs to go work.
I worked until 11:20, and then I started cooking. Randy already came upstairs with them ten minutes early, and so we sat down at the table just before it was noon. It was good to see Tammy eat something today. She usually does not touch pasta with meat and tomato sauce, but it looks like she likes this kind of pasta, as she did eat it. Emmy ate nearly everything in his bowl, and Randy said that Sammy had eaten a lot. They all had some pudding and cake, and then I cleaned them up and dressed them. The boys went to bed, and Randy went downstairs with the girl.
It was only 12:30, but Sammy fell asleep right away. Emmy was playing for a while, then he lay down on my chest and fell asleep. It was 12:50. Then Tammy came upstairs, and I sat by her bed, and she was asleep by 1:15. I myself was falling asleep, and so I lay down in bed and fell asleep. At 2 pm Emmy was the first one up and wanted to go to Randy. Sammy woke up as a result, and both boys went downstairs with him. I went back to bed and fell asleep. At 2:35 Tammy got up, and I took her downstairs as well, together with their snacks. I took care of a few things, got my stuff together and went downstairs, setting my computer up in the office.
And then the fun started, at least the fun Mommy was a part of. They wanted to swing again, and wanted to swing together, so Emmy and Tammy did. Sammy was on the floor, and he started his talking game with me, where he says a letter, and I say another one, and sometimes it just makes him laugh out loud. I'm glad I got to capture it on video today.
Tammy left the swing, but Emmy wanted to stay, and we ended up playing ball. I'd throw it to him, or rather put it in his hands, and then he'd throw it to me, and he did a really great job throwing the ball so that I could catch it. He was really enjoying this game, and we played it for a long time. When I finally got him out of the swing, he was not happy at all.
Randy got some blocks that you can stick together out and occupied Tammy and Sammy with it. Sammy was in his standing apparatus, which is good for him to have to use his core muscles that need to be strengthened.
They always get cranky as dinner time approaches, and today it was Emmy who was especially cranky. He wanted to sit on my desk, and then we tried to call a few people, which is the best thing to do, when they are in that state. We reached one friend and talked to her, which was fun. It was just after 5 pm, when we hung up, which is when the service starts, so I tried to find the live stream, but couldn't. Instead I found the live stream of the church in Kansas City that I was a part of while in Bible school. I enjoyed the worship, and so did the kids. Emmy loves seeing them play the guitar. We watched the worship until 5:30, with me trying to work at the same time, while Emmy was sitting on my desk, Sammy on my lap, and Tammy on the floor and then on a chair to watch baby videos. Then we started tidying up. Tammy helped a little, and Emmy barely. Then we went upstairs together.
Tammy and Emmy pulled up chairs to the kitchen counter to stand on, and I put their plates in front of them, and put food on them that they could eat. I was cutting up fruit and bread with cream cheese and salami, and once it was done, we moved it all to the dining room table, took their clothes off, and put them on their chairs. Then I added the soup to their plates. After a while Emmy always gets up and stands on the chairs next to his chair, while Tammy loves spreading soup and cereal and all the food all over the place. I finally put an end to it all, and they went into the bathtub, where they were having fun. Sammy was upset, when he was the first one being taken out, ending the fun he was having. The others came out right after him. We got them all ready for bed, and they were all in bed well before 7 pm.
I sat down with them, and Tammy wanted me to hold her right away, but so did Emmy. Everbody got their turn. At 7 pm the doorbell rang. Our food delivery came half an hour early. Randy had just down by them, and the kids were suddenly up and shouting "package" and wanting to come to the door. I had told them that packages were arriving for them tomorrow, so I repeated that again, saying this was food, not packages. I returned to my seat by their beds to calm them down. Finally Emmy fell asleep, and the girl still needed until 7:30 to fall asleep. Finally! We were finally able to go downstairs to eat. I found a movie that we watched the first half of while eating. Part two next week. Then Randy went upstairs, and I sat down at the desk to work. He wwent to bed early, some time after 10 pm. At 10:15 Emmy already got up and came to the gate by the stairs, calling for me. I put him in our bed before Randy was even in it, but at least he was okay with that. Thanks to Emmy I now go to bed earlier than I would have if there wasn't the pressure of this little boy waiting for me, and getting up calling for me to come.
