HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 882. Last night I headed to bed at midnight. I moved Emmy to his own bed, and he was okay with it. It was the girl who wanted to come to our bed, but I put her back into her bed, and she fell back asleep. Both kids came to join us in bed at some point, Emmy coming, when it was close to getting up time. But they were awake at 6 am, and by 6:30 they were up and running around, so we got up not long after that.
After breakfast I cleaned them up and dressed them, and we went downstairs, where we read a Bible story. Then I did my Covid test, hoping it's negative this time, and then Randy did his. He then took the tests to the store, so I stayed with the kids and had fun with them. Tammy and Emmy were in the swing together, with Emmy in the front, and we were playing ball together. In between I picked up Sammy and swung him around, which he greatly enjoyed. Tammy got out, and then Emmy continued swinging by himself. He was still in the swing, when Randy returned, but then got out.
I took my computer upstairs to work. At 10:30 the doorbell rang. It was the mailman delivering a big package. The kids went crazy downstairs, as they knew a package for them was coming. So I took the package straight downstairs, where we opened it. It was a horse on a long stick to ride for them. It still needed batteries to make sounds, so that took a while to get that done, but then they went off riding. Of course only one of them could use it at the time, which was frustrating for the other. I then went back upstairs to continue working.
Ten minutes before noon Randy already came upstairs with the kids. I hadn't even started warming up the leftovers, but did so right away, and so we sat down to eat before it was noon. I was surprised that Tammy couldn't get enough of the chicken, when she wouldn't even touch it, when we had it the first time. Emmy ate both the pasta and the chicken. And Sammy ate so much of everything that Randy was surprised and didn't even want to give him any more food. After lunch I cleaned them up and dressed them, and the boys went to bed, while Randy went downstairs with Tammy. Sammy fell asleep right away, at 12:45, while Emmy needed until just after 1 pm to fall asleep. Tammy came upstairs, and by 1:20 she was asleep as well.
Emmy was the first one waking up at 2 pm and went downstairs with Randy. At 2:25 Sammy woke up, and I took him downstairs with the snacks. Tammy woke up just before 3 pm and went downstairs. A few minutes later the doorbell rang, and the kids went crazy again because they knew it was a package. It was two, one for me and one for them. I told them I'd bring them down in a few minutes, when I come downstairs. Emmy immediately started crying by the gate and continued to do so until I came downstairs.
They immediately grabbed the package and couldn't wait for me to open it. It was a big fabric piano that they can play by touching it or stepping on it. They were having fun with it, all three of them, for a while, but then they wanted to go into the swing again, and so Tammy and Emmy were both in the swing, and for a long time. I found a new way to push them to new heights, and they were really enjoying that.
As they were getting crankier, I suggested we'd try to call Grandma and our friends, but nobody picked up. They then still enjoyed the old office chair, including Sammy who was sitting on it. And they were riding their cars again. Randy wasn't feeling so well and was lying down on the couch. They wanted to watch the worship time at a service, and so I found one to listen to and watch. At one point Tammy and Emmy were also watching babies on the phone again.
At 5:30 we started tidying up - Tammy helped a little - and then we all went upstairs so I could make dinner. Tammy and Emmy pulled a chair up to the counter in the kitchen, and ate quite a bit while I was cutting it all up and putting it on their plates right there. At about 5:50 everyone sat down at the table to eat. Then they went into the bathtub, where they were having fun. Sammy was upset again, when he was pulled away from the fun he was having, and then the other two came out not long after. We got them all ready for bed, and just after 6:30 they were all in bed. I sat down by their beds. Tammy wanted me to hold her right away, and then Emmy wanted the same, so I had them both on my chest for a while. They went back to their beds, and then Randy sat down in the chair for a while. Tammy was calling for me more and more, and so it wasn't long before I returned to take the chair. Emmy fell asleep just after 7 pm, Sammy was next, and Tammy was still awake, when I walked away but soon fell asleep. I got myself something to eat and went downstairs to eat, then I went back to work. I already received my test result from the Covid test I did in the morning and was very happy that it was negative. I kept waiting for Randy's test result, and the longer it took, the more I assumed it was gonna be positive. It finally came, and it was positive. So now I am done with quarantine and can leave the house, but Randy can't yet. He should also test negative pretty soon.
I was working, when Emmy came to the gate by the stairs again around 11 pm. Every day! I took him to Randy who was already in bed and told him to wait there for me and that I would come once I was done working. He did not accept that this time. He got back up and came back to the gate. He didn't cry at first, so for about 10 minutes I didn't even realize he was there. Then I took him back to our bed and told him the same thing again, but he came back to the gate again, and this time he was crying. Randy finally came and took him back to our bed with him. Now I'm about done working, but I doubt he's already in a deep enough sleep for me to move him to his own bed without waking him up.
