Day 902. Last night I headed to bed just after 1 am. They joined us in bed in the early morning hours and were already up before 7 am. Half an hour later we all got up. I made breakfast, we sat down to eat, and then neither one of them wanted to go potty. I cleaned them up and dressed them, and we went downstairs, where we read a Bible story. Then Emmy wanted to go in the swing, where he stayed until Randy came and I went upstairs to work. Even though I was tired I started working. It was after 11 am before I finally closed my eyes for a little bit.

At 11:45 Randy came upstairs with the kids. They were playing upstairs, while the soup was warming up on the stove. At noon we sat down to eat. They didn't finish their soup, but they had pudding after and finished the last piece of cake. Then I cleaned them up and dressed them, and the boys went to bed, while Randy went downstairs with Tammy. I sat down by their beds. By 12:50 a tired Emmy was asleep, but Sammy was still wide awake and moving around in his bed. It took him until 1:20 to fall asleep. That means he was still awake, when Tammy came upstairs at 1 pm, which made it harder for him to fall asleep. I sat by them and had to keep putting Sammy back into his sleeping position. He finally fell asleep, but not so Tammy. In the end I walked away before she was asleep. By 1:40 it was finally quiet.

I was working on my computer while they were asleep. At 2:25 Emmy walked into the room, and Randy went downstairs with him. After a while I went to the kitchen to start making their dinner-to-go. Sammy woke up next just before 3 pm, and I took him downstairs with a snack. Tammy walked in just after 3 pm, and I took her downstairs as well and then continued working. They were eager to go to church, though, and kept asking to come up to get dressed and go, and only minutes later I asked Randy to open the gate for them to come up. We dressed them and left on time at 4 pm.

We walked to the train station, took the train, got some chestnuts, and then took the tram to church. We got there just before the service started. We went to the front on the side, where all the flags were already waiting for them. They ran to them as soon as we'd taken their coats off. They picked them up and started waving them right away. I tried to capture them on video while they were dancing; especially Tammy was doing a great job. I took Sammy right away, and he was having so much fun as well. After a while Randy took him to go change his diaper, and Emmy was asking to see Sonja. She's always sitting on the other side in the sanctuary, and so Tammy, Emmy and I started walking over there and found her. Emmy was so happy to see her, and Sonja picked him up, while I picked up Sonja. We stayed there for a few minutes enjoying worship. Then we returned to our side of the room, where Randy was already wondering where we were. It was 5:30 and time to go upstairs to the toddler room.

The five of us went upstairs, and Tammy and Emmy were really excited. We were the first ones in the room. They immediately started playing, while I got their boxes out and put them on the table. Randy started feeding Sammy, while the other two only came by occasionally to get something to eat. They soon found an age-appropriate game, and the three of us were occupied with it for a while, before they moved on to other things. Randy left to go back to the sanctuary, while I put Sammy on the floor to play with the toys. I sat down with him, and he pulled himself  up into a kneeling position on my leg. Another Mom sat by us and was talking with me. Sammy started walking and wanted to walk over to yet another Mom and did a great job doing so.

It was a while before the program started, and our three were half the class once again. We did the two greeting songs, and Tammy and Emmy participated more than ever in doing all the actions. They love the "holding the Bible up in the air" song and participated there too. Then it was teaching time, and the lady did a great job.

After the program it was play time again. Randy returned to get Sammy but first changed Emmy's diaper. Sammy was having fun playing in the toy kitchen, and his sister joined him there. She actually went to get real food out of their box and put it in her toy pot and ate it out of there.

Before Randy could leave with Sammy, it was actually time to tidy up and leave. I put their shoes back on, and off we went. When we got to the sanctuary, the service was already over, which is unusual, as it was not even 7 pm yet. But it looked like people were praying for each other. Walking down the staircase, they spotted Anna and were excited to see her. However, having reached the bottom, Emmy was asking about Sonja again, and so was Tammy, and so we made our way over to where she was. Anna in the meantime took Sammy and had fun with him.

Emmy was so very excited to see Sonja, and the three of them started playing together. After a few minutes Anna and Sammy joined us, and then Emmy and Tammy also got to have a little fun with Anna. It was great watching them run and laugh and being full of joy. Randy encouraged us to get going, and so we started putting their coats on and putting them into the strollers, and after having talked to someone, we said our goodbyes and walked to the exit.

It was cold outside, as the five of us walked to the tram station. We could not make the 7:30 train, and so we took the tram in the opposite direction for two stops to get to the subway. Tammy and Emmy were both crying/screaming because they wanted cookies, and I had told them to wait until we were on the subway. A somewhat drunk lady on the tram started ranting because of the loud noise they were making; I was glad that we got off so soon.

I got their dinner box out, while we were waiting for the subway, and on the subway they got to sit on seats and keep eating there, then they continued on the second subway and actually ate everything in their snack box, and drank all the squeezies. At 8:10 pm we walked into our apartment.

We immediately started taking their clothes off and getting them ready for bed; they also had some more food. By 8:30 they were in bed. Tammy fell asleep first, then Emmy, and it was Sammy who was awake for a while. Later in the evening it was also Sammy who was crying, and first me and then Randy comforted him, before he went back to sleep. Emmy also woke back up, wanting milk, and then insisted on me sitting by his bed, which I did with my computer to keep working. After they had fallen asleep the first time, I got myself something to eat, ate, and then started working on today's pictures. I was so tired that my eyes were falling shut while doing so, but I'm glad I now got everything done as we have a busy morning tomorrow.
