HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 907. Last night I headed to bed just before 1 am. One time Emmy came to me and I gave him milk and then he went back to bed. In the morning they both joined us in bed, and Sammy cried because he wanted to be with us as well. We got up a little later, at 7:45, again. I made breakfast, and we sat down to eat. Then I cleaned them up and dressed them, and we went downstairs, where I read a Bible story to them. Then Randy came, and I went upstairs to work.
At 11 am I heard Tammy say she wanted to go potty to poop. So I went downstairs, helped her undress, and she sat down on the potty and peed. Yeah! She hadn't been very motivated to go potty recently, so it's great she had this success. I gave her a gummy bear, and then Emmy also wanted to go potty, and he had a tiny success and also got a gummy bear. For me it was high time to go back upstairs and start cooking. Just before noon I called them upstairs to eat.
Tammy and Emmy did not eat very much. Tammy was just picking the carrots out of her food. Then they got up and started playing around. Tammy wanted pudding, but I told her she needed to eat first, which made her cry. After a while Emmy started eating to get pudding, and ate a lot more than I had asked. Tammy also sat down to eat, but she only ate once I started feeding her. And so all three had pudding. Then I cleaned them up and dressed them, and Randy went downstairs with Tammy, while the boys went to bed. Sammy fell asleep quickly, Emmy needed a little time, until 12:55. Tammy lay down just after 1 pm, and I finally had to walk away for her to fall asleep around 1:30.
I was working on my computer, when Emmy walked into room pretty early, before 2 pm. I picked him up, and his body felt really hot. He wanted to go and get some milk. Then Sammy woke up, and we took them both downstairs, where Randy stayed with them. I went back upstairs to get everything ready. At 2:15 I called the boys upstairs, which was enough to wake up Tammy who came running and crying. We dressed them all and left the house at 2:30 as planned. Tammy and Emmy were sharing the single stroller again, with Emmy behind Tammy. We walked to the subway in the rain, but their covers protected them. We took the subway to the end, and then took a tram. Both times they were sitting on the seats. When we got off, it was barely raining any more. We still had to walk a bit to get to the pediatrician's office, and got there early, at 3:20 pm.
We were walking into the building, when my Mom arrived as well. Great timing. When we registered, we were asked to show a test result. Randy had his with him, but I didn't have mine. It was news to me that you had to be vaccinated or have a test to go to the doctor. I told them I could email it to them once I was back home, and only after all that did I realize that we are "recovered" from Covid, which fulfills the requirement.
We sat down in the waiting room. Then they started having fun. They looked out the window and had fun with Grandma. It was visible that Emmy was not quite himself. We waited for quite a while before we were called in. I asked them to measure Emmy's temperature, and it was 38.6, which was much higher than I had expected. That meant he was not gonna get the shot. Then they weighed Tammy and Sammy. Tammy was 12.8 kilos and Sammy 9.2. Then a young doctor came in. She looked at Emmy first. He had no problem with her listening with the stethoscope, but started fussing, when she looked into his ears, and did not want to open his mouth. She said he was a little red. Then it was Tammy's turn, and she had no issue with her doing all this. At home she plays being the doctor, doing all these things to her doll. Sammy was last, and he didn't mind either. She said that Tammy was also a little red and suggested we come back another time for the shot, and just do all three then. That meant we had come in vain. Sigh. We dressed them again and left. I made an appointment for them for March, we put their coats on, put them into the strollers and left the office.
Back on the street we had to say goodbye to Grandma. Then we started walking back to the tram stop. It was pretty full and so the kids had to stay in the strollers. Emmy was clearly sick and very quiet, with me interacting with Tammy sitting right in front of him. Until he suddenly started fussing and wanting me to hold him. I finally got him out, as all my trying to calm him down failed. When we reached our destination, we put him into the stroller with Randy. We started walking towards the subway, when Tammy started throwing a fit. She wanted me to hold her now. She became frantic, attracting everyone's attention. I told her she could come out in the subway, and as soon as we were on the train, I got her out and put them on a seat, and Emmy as well. Then I finally took her into my arms and held her. It wasn't long before she wanted to sit in her own seat, and then she was completely fine again. Emmy sat next to me and was really quiet and not moving. Before we reached our stop, we put them back into the strollers, and they were fine.
Just before 6 pm we walked back it our apartment. We took their clothes off, and I went straight to making their dinner. Emmy and Tammy both wanted me to hold them, and I put them both on the counter to sit there, which was fine with them. Emmy was quiet and did not want to eat anything. Tammy ate a little, and we soon sat down at the table to eat. Emmy just wanted to go into the bathtub. So they went into the water, and I brought Tammy's plate, and before she had gone to bed, she had finished everything on her plate. So did Sammy. Emmy came out of the water first tonight, and by the time I put Sammy to bed, he was already asleep. Tammy went to bed last. She lay on me again before lying down in bed. Then she said she needed to go potty. She had a dirty diaper, but did not do anything on the potty. When she and Sammy were still awake and fussing after having sat with them for a long time, I simply walked away to go get my food.
While I was eating, Emmy woke up crying. We gave him a suppository, and then he wanted me to sit with him. After a few minutes I returned to my plate to finish eating. He woke up a few more times needing Randy or me to come be with him. I went back to work after eating and hope to go to bed early tonight.
