Day 908. Last night I headed to bed before midnight - thank God, that was much needed. However, it was a tough night because of Emmy being sick. He constantly came to me asking for milk and would then go back to bed. One time Tammy was also awake and asking for milk. Emmy had the bottle and said he would give it to her, which was really cute. Then Sammy was crying, and Randy gave him milk too. In the early morning hours it was Tammy who came to join us in bed. It was already 7:30. Then Sammy started crying and he joined us in bed. Emmy was FINALLY sleeping in his bed. Around 7:45 he came as well, and then we all got up.

I made breakfast, and we sat down to eat. I was glad that Emmy was eating again. Then I cleaned them up and dressed them, and we went downstairs, where we read a Bible story. Then they started playing. When Randy came, I went upstairs to work. Just before 10:30 Emmy was already on the bottom of the stairs calling for Sonja, as he knew that she was coming. He was there, when the doorbell rang and she arrived. He was overjoyed.

At 11:15 Randy started making omelets for the adults, and just before noon I warmed up yesterday's leftovers for the kids. They came upstairs and brought with them what they had made with Sonja to show it to me. I told them how impressed I was. They had torn colored paper, crumpled it up and stuck in on cardboard. Then they sat down to eat. My omelet was already done, and Sonja's was about done, so Randy was still working on his own. I put Sammy into his chair and sat down with him to feed him. I let him have the bowl to eat out of by hand, and it worked. When Randy took over, I wasn't working so well any more. Tammy and Emmy saw our bacon and wanted to eat it and ended up eating much of it, as well as some of our omelets. They barely ate anything of their rice and chicken. Since Tammy agreed to eat two more spoonfuls, I let her have some puddings. Emmy didn't want any, even though he was so much better than yesterday, the fever nearly gone. However, he had a runny nose, and Tammy's was worse again as well. We cleaned them up and dressed them, and Sonja went downstairs with Tammy, while I put the boys to bed.

Sammy fell asleep quickly, and by 12:55 Emmy was also asleep. Just after 1 pm Tammy came upstairs, and by 1:15 she was asleep as well. Randy left to go to the grocery store, while I was working rather than taking a much-needed nap. At 2:05 Emmy walked into the room, and Sammy was awake as well. Emmy immediately wanted to go downstairs to Sonja, without ever even lying down on me, and so I took them both downstairs, then I returned to work. Tammy woke up at 2:55, just as Randy was returning from the store, and she went to look at the grocery bags. Then I took her downstairs to her brothers, together with their snacks, and went back upstairs to work. Another fruitful afternoon of work, while they had fun with Sonja and never asked for Mommy. At 5:15 I went to the kitchen to start making their dinner, and once I was done, I went downstairs to go tidy up with them. I was actually able to get Emmy to put away a few toys today, and Tammy did too, and so they both got some money for their piggy banks. It wasn't 6 pm yet, when we went upstairs to eat.

They sat down at the table, and Tammy ate all her soup, while Emmy didn't even touch it but had some bread. Then they immediately went to the bathtub, and so I put their food one one plate that I took there as well. Tonight they could not eat it all, but Sammy finished his food. They were having fun, but Tammy go aggravated by the water splashing her way, as Sammy had the showerhead in his hand, and so she came out first. Usually she's last. Once out, she wanted to continue eating, and so I gave her the bowl, and then Emmy joined her. In the meantime I had put Sammy to bed, and at some point I'd had enough and took the bowl away. It seemed like they were just trying to delay going to bed. I brushed their teeth, gave them their nose drops, and put them to bed. I sat down by them, and Tammy lay down on my chest. Then we were talking again. After a few minutes Tammy returned to her bed. By 7:30 I was getting a little impatient as they were still all awake. I went to the kitchen to start making my own dinner. Then Randy sat down by them, after he had finished eating.

I went downstairs to eat and then went back to work. It's been a rough night already, with Emmy and Tammy waking up. I believe it's the runny nose that keeps waking up Tammy.
