29 months 27 days - Day 910. Last night I was so extremely tired when I went to bed at 12:30 am. When the alarm went off at 7 am, Emmy was in bed with us, and all three were fast asleep. I got up to start making breakfast, and one after another they joined me in the kitchen. Then we sat down to eat. They hardly ate anything. Their noses were all more or less runny, and Tammy felt a little warm. I cleaned them up and dressed them, and we left the house later than planned a t 8:40 am.

We took the subway to go even further out of town, then walked to the school, where their class was gonna be. We got there on time, undressed them and joined the other kids in the exercise hall.

After the beginning song, the teacher got some fabric out that they had to do different things with, like waving and throwing it up into the air. Then she had them put it in their pants on their back, and they were supposed to try to get others' and protect their own. They were too young to do this game, and our kids are the oldest there. Our kids did not want to take other kids' fabric away from them.

Then she got the big balls out that they love. They had to push them and drum on them, and they love jumping on them. I had to hold the balls against the wall with my legs to have my hands free to take a picture of Tammy and Emmy jumping on their balls that I was holding.

Then she set up some cones and had them push their balls to make the cones fall over. It was Tammy's idea to put a cone on top of another one.

Then the teacher got two rolling board out and lay two benches on the ground. They had to get on the boards and pull themselves through. It was real easy for our kids, while the younger kids had a harder time with it. The class is for 1.5 to 3-year-olds. Our kids loved the board and went through several times. Later the teacher put the two boards together and a box on top. Immediately our kids wanted to get in. Tammy and Emmy were in there at first, and one of the other kids wanted to push them, so his Mommy helped him do so. But our kids wanted me and then Daddy to push them around the room, which we did. Then Sammy joined them in the box and I got a lucky shot with all of them looking at me. What a great picture!

The teacher also got the trampolin out again and a thick mat, and Emmy loves jumping on the trampolin, when I hold his hands and help him jump even higher. She also set a bench up as a slide, which they enjoy.

In the end she got out the drums and rattles, and Emmy got the biggest one again. We did a song with them, and then she did the good-bye song. The class already ended after 50 minutes, which gave us extra time to get to the next location.

We put their shoes and jackets back on and left to go back to the subway. We rode three stops and then had a long walk to the other school building. We got there 5 minutes before the class started. Once again we had to show that we've recovered from Covid, as it was a school administrator, while the teacher in the first class did not ask to see the same paper again.

The teacher did two greeting songs and then invited Tammy to come sit on her legs for a few songs she did with our legs moving that they enjoy. Then she gave them wooden sticks that she had them do different things with, while singing some songs. Next we did some songs walking in a circle, with turning and stomping and waving etc. Then she handed out fabric that she did a few songs with. Including the kids one after another putting them over their faces, and the rest of us pretending we could not see them, which they love.

As the class went on, Emmy started getting restless first. They were pretty tired from the late night last night, the early morning this morning and the runny noses. Then Tammy also stopped participating. The teacher did the good-bye song, gave them a stamp onto their cards, and off we went to get their coats and shoes on once again.

Emmy was riding in the single stroller all day long, standing or sitting behind his sister. I thought it was funny how he leaned on her head, when we left the building. We started walking to the subway. It was extremely windy, which made pushing the strollers even harder, and it was quite a long walk. We got on the subway, rode two stops, and walked to our house. Just before noon we walked through the doors of our apartment. Sammy had already had his eyes closed for a few minutes on the way home. I warmed up yesterday's leftover food and by noon it was already on the table for them to eat. We got their clothes off, and they sat down. They ate quite a bit, and then Tammy had some yoghurt. Emmy went potty, and then I cleaned them up and dressed them. Emmy was in bed by 12:35. They were really tired, and so I thought they'd be sleeping quickly. Emmy was asleep by 12:55, but Sammy simply would not fall asleep. Even when he sleeps really short in the stroller, he then won't sleep in his bed. Tammy went to bed at 1:05, and Sammy immediately turned around to get close to her. I had to move his bed away from his sister. Tammy was asleep by 1:15, but Sammy was still awake. As long as he was not crying, we left him in his bed, even though he was fussing. At some point he did fall asleep, thank God.

I was working, even though I was very tired and planning on closing my eyes on some point. Randy was asleep in his chair. It was only 2:05, when Emmy walked into the room. He wouldn't even come to me, but walked on to get to Randy, who then went downstairs with him. Sammy was also up, and 5 minutes later I got him out of bed and took him downstairs. I went back upstairs and finally fell asleep at 2:25. At 2:55 Tammy woke up and walked into the room. I picked her up, but she wanted to go downstairs as well, and so I took her there with their afternoon snacks. I returned upstairs, but as is always the case, they called me a few minutes later. They wanted milk, and so I gave it to them and then went downstairs with my computer that I put up on my desk. The kids were tired and cranky, and so I let them watch Paw Patrol and Peppa Pig. Then I put a cranky Sammy into the swing, which he greatly enjoyed. Of course Emmy wanted to go in as well, and after a while of him complaining I put him behind his brother. However, he soon complained that it was too tight, and so I got him back out.

Randy had given them the little backpack full of instruments that were lying on the floor. I asked Tammy to put them back in, and she did. Then she wanted to put the backpack on her back, and I helped her get it on. As far as I know this is the very first time ever she had a backpack on her back. Then she got the doll and put it in her shopping cart, got a diaper to cover her baby, and she said she was taking her to kindergarten. Emmy still had the drums and was playing it, and I had the Malian guitar that I was playing, while he was drumming. Then I gave it to Sammy.

Randy was looking for little backpacks and got a little bag out that Emmy enjoyed. Then Tammy wanted to draw and so I gave her paper and the crayons. She did a great job. Emmy wanted to watch guitars being played, and I found a YouTube video of a guitar player for him to watch on the Echo Show. However, it was a little boring, and I know how much he enjoys watching worship teams playing worship songs. So I put my favorite church's worship time on, Life Center in PA, and the music was like balsam to my soul. Both Emmy and Tammy were watching it - including the closeups of the guitars - until it was time to go upstairs for dinner.

They pulled up chairs to the kitchen counter, and I started making their food and putting it on the plates in front of them. Then we all sat down at the table to eat. Tammy was cranky; we'd had to clean her nose constantly all day. She wanted to sit on me, and once she did she ate some food. But neither one ate much and soon left to go into the bathtub. They ate some food there, but not everything. Sammy ate most of his food. After they'd had some fun in the water, we got them out one after another and put them to bed. I sat down by them, with Tammy on my chest, and first we did some talking. Tammy returned to her bed, and then I did some singing. After that I wasn't too happy any more about any more talking or getting up. They'd all asked for and had some milk. I finally walked away before they were all asleep and went to the kitchen to clean up and make myself something to eat. I chose to make a salad even though it takes so very much time. It was late, when I was done eating it, but I went straight to work. Thanks to my short nap I've been to stay up until now, nearly 2 am, without falling asleep while writing, like yesterday. Emmy came to the gate after midnight and wanted to lie down in my bed, so I took him there. He should be fast asleep so that I can take him back to his bed and have my bed back now.
