Day 886. Last night it was close to 12:30 am, when I was heading to bed. I walked up the stairs and loaded the dishwasher, when Emmy suddenly stood there. I took him to my bed and finished in the kitchen, then I lay down with him. After a while I asked him if he was ready to go back to his own bed. He drank some milk, then got up, and I walked him back to his bed. He lay down to sleep without any problems. He just needs some cuddling before sleeping alone again. In the early morning hours Tammy came first, and then Emmy. By 7:20 Emmy got up, and then Tammy as well, and so we all got up. I made breakfast, then I cleaned them up and dressed them.

We went downstairs, where I set everything up for Randy to do a Corona test again. I just hope he'll be negative now so we can all go to church this weekend.  Tammy, Emmy and I went upstairs to get ready to leave, while Randy was doing his test. Sammy was crying at the bottom of the stairs. I felt for him, but I can't take more than two kids at the time with me.

We left the house at 8:50, with Emmy in the stroller and Tammy on the board. We took the subway for one stop, then walked to Billa to hand in Randy's Corona test. Then we went inside the store. They had strawberries, which really excited me as the online grocery store I've been ordering from doesn't have them, and the kids love strawberries. I also bought milk and chestnuts. Then we walked to the bus stop. After a few minutes the bus arrived, and we got at the playground after 3 stops.

There was only one little kid there, and not for long. It was really windy which made it feel pretty cold. I'm glad the kids had asked for glvoes, and they actually wore them the whole time. Last winter they would not keep them on. They went straight to the giraffe to rock back and forth, then Tammy went to the swing, and then on to the slide. She went up and down all by herself a few times. Then she climbed up on the net to the other slide. Emmy was calling for me, so I turned around, and then I heard Tammy. She had slid down on her belly, head first, and landed with her mouth in the sand! I wiped her face off, and she went on.

They went inside the ship and looked out the porthole, and we did peek-a-boo for a while. Then Tammy wanted to do some more climbing. Then I suggested we'd go back home, as it was cold. We had spent about 25 minutes there. This time it was Emmy on the board, but he wasn't very happy. He wanted me to carry him, which was not possible, so he walked for a little bit. Then I lifted him up and put him on the stroller handle. That worked pretty well. After a while I tried to simply put him behind his sister, and it worked. There was enough room for both of them. The wind was blowing hard, and it was time to get home. Now I was able to move fast with the stroller, and we got home just after 10 am. I was really glad to be back.

I undressed them and took them downstairs to Randy and Sammy, then I grabbed my computer and went upstairs to work. At 11:30 I went to the kitchen to get lunch ready. Randy once again came upstairs with them 15 minutes early. At noon we sat down to eat. Tammy and Emmy both needed seconds, when it came to the cremed spinach, and they wanted more egg. They didn't care much about the potato cakes. After lunch, they were visible dirty all over, thanks to the spinach, and so I put them into the bathtub to get them clean, which we hadn't done in a while. They were eating peanuts while in the bathtub, and I fed Sammy his special pudding. Then we got them all out.

The boys went to bed, while Randy went downstairs with Tammy. They were both pretty awake and active. At 1 pm I had to shout down to Randy to not come upstairs, as Emmy was still awake. I then left Emmy's side, and he simply fell asleep. So it was just after 1 pm, when I shouted downstairs that they could come up. Randy brought Tammy upstairs and sat down by her bed, and she was soon asleep as well.

I was working at first, but I was so tired that I finally closed my eyes and fell asleep. I woke up, when I heard Sammy fuss at 2:20. I fnally got up to get him. I had just picked him up, when the doorbell rang. Emmy woke up hysterical, and I had to comfort him. The doorbell had woken him up. We were all standing in the entry ready to go downstairs, when Tammy came up to us as well. They were all up, and so we all went downstairs, including the snacks. I returned back upstairs to get a little more work done, considering how early it was and that I had lost a big part of the morning. But Emmy was immediately by the stairs crying for me. Randy finally picked him and carried him off. And then Tammy came crying to the stairs, and so I walked downstairs to comfort her. They both wanted to go into the swing, and so I put them in and let them fly high. Sammy was crying, and so I picked him up, while swinging the other two. I then gave him a snack, and Randy took him to feed him. I asked the other two if it was okay that I went upstairs to work and wait for the grocery delivery, and surprisingly they said yes. I left them in the swing, even though Randy does not like to stand there and give them shoves.

A few minutes later the doorbell rang and the groceries were delivered. The kids immediately wanted to come upstairs, and so I let them. They were curious about the bags and started getting everything out and handing it to me to put away. Unfortunately the blueberries went everywhere, and also the egg box opened up and the eggs all rolled out. It's a miracle no egg broke. When they saw the blueberries, they wanted to eat some, so I washed a bunch and also got some strawberries out and gave them each a bowl with both. Then we went downstairs together. It didn't take them long to eat it all, and they shared with Sammy who Randy had already started feeding.

We ended up having lots of fun this afternoon. They went into the swing again, together and separately, and Sammy surprised me, when he was happily playing with the stick horse by himself for hours. Since the other two were with or by me, that gave Randy the opportunity to keep working on a new contraption he thought of to work with Sammy.

They were playing again that the doll was going potty, and so when changing Tammy's diaper, I put her on the potty and told her to go "pipi or gaki". I was really surprised, when she had actually pooped a little bit! I celebrated her and gave her a gummi bear, and her face was lit up with pride over her accomplishment. And so Emmy immediately wanted to go to. He tried hard, but the potty stayed dry. I told him we'd try again tomorrow.

At one point they were watching babies on my phone, but the chair was turning, and so they were getting upset, and I finally turned it off. They then started playing together with the old office chair, with Emmy sitting and Tammy moving the chair in circles, and then they switched. It was great to see them play like that, after I had told them I was not turning their chair. I was trying to get work done on the computer. It was a lot of fun to watch them, and I wished I had done a video.

Around 5:30 I told them it was time to tidy up, but neither one was very motivated, and so I did most of it by myself. It was about 5:40, when we all went upstairs. They pulled up two chairs to the kitchen counter to stand on, and for some reason Emmy fell off his chair twice. Neither time I saw how it happened. They were eating much of what I put on their plate after cutting it up, and once most was done, we put them in their chairs to eat, and I put the soup on their plates. I turned the bathwater on and sat down with them. They do play a lot at the table, and sometimes it's annoying to watch them make everything dirty, especially Tammy. I started putting stuff away, and before going into the bathtub they both sat down on the potty again, but this time nothing happened. They were having fun in the water, as always, and Sammy was upset, when we got him out, as always. Then the other two came out as well, and we got them all ready for bed. It was about 6:45 by the time they were all in bed. I sat down by them, and Tammy wanted me to hold her right away, and so Emmy did as well. After a while Emmy returned to his bed, and some time later Tammy did too. But they kept talking and playing, and I kept encouraging them to sleep. Sammy was still playing too. Randy was eating, and I asked him to come after he was done. They were finally close to falling asleep, when he took my place at about 7:20. I got myself something to eat and took it downstairs to eat. Then I returned to work.

By the way, Randy's Corona test from this morning was STIll positive. It's so frustrating, as I'll have to go to church alone with Tammy and Emmy tomorrow. How long before he has a negative test, and we can all leave the house together again!
