Day 888. Even though I was really tired it was nearly 1 am before I made it to bed. Thankfully the kids were asleep in their beds. Tammy and Emmy came some time in the early morning hours. By 7:10 they were up and running, and so we got up not long after.

After breakfast we took them downstairs, where we read a Bible story together. Then they started playing, and when Randy came, I went upstairs to work.

I was pretty tired, but I got working anyway. There was a lot of crying downstairs today, and them calling me, so I ended up going downstairs several times. I went downstairs at 11 am, when Sammy was crying real hard, and I ended up taking him upstairs with me to go cooking. I had already put him and Emmy into the swing twice today, and they enjoyed swinging together, but Randy always takes them out, when I leave. When I went upstairs with Sammy, his siblings of course wanted to come upstairs as well, and so I had no choice but to open the gate for them. And so Randy came upstairs as well. They were all playing, while I was cooking, with Randy stopping them from doing stupid stuff.

Just before noon we set down to eat. I was impressed, when Emmy ate nearly everything in his bowl. Tammy didn't eat that much and then moved on to puddings. But when she saw Emmy getting a gummi bear for having eaten so much, she wanted her bowl back and ate a few more spoonfuls so she'd get a gummi bear as well.

Then we cleaned them up and dressed them, and Randy went downstairs with Tammy, while I put the boys to bed. Sammy fell asleep quickly and was asleep by 12:40. Emmy needed until just before 1 pm, and Tammy went to bed at 1, and I had to go sit with her so she could fall asleep, which happened by 1:25. I really wanted to sleep and should have, but ended up working.

At 1:25 Emmy got up, after Sammy had already been stirring, and with the two of them up, Tammy woke up as well, after only an hour of sleep. They wanted milk, and then we took them downstairs with their snacks. I told them I'd come get them, when it was time to go to church. I still had to get their food and everything ready. The whole time I was working Emmy was whining downstairs at the gate, wanting to come up. Once I was done, I opened the gate so they could go upstairs. I then dressed them and got them ready to leave, and at 4 pm we left the house, saying good-bye to Sammy and Randy.

We slowly walked to the train station and got there way early. Thankfully it was not raining, but it was still really windy, making it feel colder than it was. I let them out of the stroller so they could walk around, look at the posters and the ticket machine. I put them back in before the train arrived. On the train they sat in the chairs of course. After we got off the train, we still had to ride a tram, but first we bought some chestnuts. They like chestnuts as much as their Mommy. We walked over to the tram stop, where we started eating them. On the tram they also sat on the seats. Once we got off, we still had to walk up a hill to get to church. It was physical exercise for me to push the two of them in the single stroller.

We got to church a few minutes before the service started. It was our first time in months! We talked to a few people on the way to our seats. The flags and fabric was already lying on the steps, and the worship team had already started playing, so the kids immediately went there to pick up what was there to wave it. They were having so much fun, having waited so long for this moment. After a while Tammy was ready to go upstairs, and I told there we'd go in a few minutes. At 5:30 we grabbed the bag with the food and walked up the stairs to go to the toddler room.

We were the first ones there. They immediately started playing and were not interested in eating yet. More and more kids arrived who all sat down to eat. Tammy came from time to time to grab a fruit out of their lunchbox. At 6 pm we all sat down in a circle for the program. We did the greeting songs, and then the song with everyone holding the Bible. They had been singing the song at home and were happy to sing it again at church. Instead of a Bible teaching, three kids were sent off to the group for the older kids, and they made this a big deal, with everyone else watching. Then they had a bunch of balloons and did a song, where everbody was dancing with them. Emmy was standing there watching for most of the time, while Tammy was also participating. Then they went back to playing by themselves, and they were having lots of fun. With 7 pm approaching, I put their shoes back on, and then Tammy wanted to take a balloon with her, and they went to get some cords to tie on them. Tammy got an orange balloon, and Emmy a green one, and they pulled them on their cords, when we left to walk back downstairs to the sanctuary, where the stroller was. We walked slowly, I put their coats back on, and we walked out to the exit. We didn't get to talk to any more people. It was just after 7 pm, and I was hoping we'd make the 7:30 train.

It was still very windy, as we made our way to the tram stop. After a few minutes the tram arrived, and the kids sat on the bench again. When we got off, we quickly took the elevator upstairs, and only had a few minutes to wait for the train. I got their lunch box back out, as I had done on the tram, and they were finally eating. They ate some more on the train, and by 7:45 we were back home.

We undressed them and got them ready for bed, which woke Sammy up. Randy told me that he put Sammy to bed early, as all he was doing was trying. He said that Sammy had been asking for me, and when he told him, that we had gone to church, his demeanor changed and he started crying. Poor kid. But I just can't take all three with me by myself! I put Tammy and Emmy to bed, and picked up Sammy to hold him for a bit. Tammy wanted me to hold her, and so I did for a few minutes. It took them longer than I thought it would to fall asleep. It was nearly 8:30 by the time everyone asleep. I walked away to take care of dishes in the kitchen, and then the doorbell finally rang, because of our food being delivered. They were 20 minutes late, but it had worked out well, as they were fast asleep and never heard the bell.

We went downstairs with our food, and I turned my computer on so we could finish last week's movie while eating. Once we were done, I went to my desk to work, while Randy went upstairs. I started working, but I was extremely tired. So much so that I realized I was not able to write my report but had to go to bed. At 11:40 I fell into bed.
