Day 1139. On Thursday morning I went back to see my doctor, as it's the only time I'm free and her office is open. She put me on medication to lower cholesterol, after she had put me on blood pressure medication last time. She also sent me to have a kidney ultrasound and one of the arteries and veins done, which is scheduled for next Thursday.

Around 4 pm Sonja arrived to stay for 2.5 hours. She hadn't been able to come the previous week at all, so it was nice to at least see her for a short time. Emmy was already crying at 3 pm because she hadn't arrived yet. They told her about the Paw Patrol show we had gone to last Saturday, and then Emmy told her that it was too expensive to go again (which is what I had told them).

It was a nice, warm day, and so the kids wanted to go outside. The kids love playing in the sandbox, but Randy prefers for them not to and will often say no. When Sonja opened the tarp for them to play in the sand, Emmy asked her if she had asked permission from Daddy for them to play in the sand.

I'd had a few of my lessons cancelled this week. I had two Thursday afternoon, and then one at 8 pm. On Friday I had a morning lesson but then only one afternoon lesson.

This morning I had a hard time getting up, as usual, somwhere around 8:20. After breakfast I went downstairs with them because they insisted we'd read a Bible story together, which we did. Then I went upstairs to get ready for my 10 am class, which went well. At 11:15 I went downstairs to be with the kids, while Randy went upstairs to make omelets for lunch. It'd been weeks since he had last made them. The kids had the Paw Patrol puzzles out that work withTiptoi. There were two puzzles, and the pieces were all jumbled. Sammy was sitting on his knees, and I was really impressed at how well he was sitting. He sat there for a long time, never losing his balance. I started putting the puzzles together, together with them, until there were done. Unfortunately three pieces were missing. Then I got the Peppa Pig puzzles out. That box even had 4 puzzles inside, and they were also jumbled up, even though I had separated them before. And so we went to work putting them together, until all four were done. Then I put them into separate bags before putting them into the box.

It was noon by then and time to go upstairs to eat. However, Randy was not done cooking, and so they started watching some videos. At about 12:15 we sat down at the table to eat. I split the first omelet between the three of them, a few minutes later mine was ready, and Randy's last. As he'd had the bacon for a long time, he cooked all of it, which was A LOT. The kids ate lots of bacon, but not as much of the omelet, then they had icecream.  Once they were done, I cleaned them up and dressed them and they continued watching videos. At 1:15 I put them to bed for their nap and sat down by them. I was very tired myself. The boys fell asleep first, but Tammy was still wide awake and active. I finally left her before she was asleep, and Randy sat down by her. Eventually it got quiet and she fell asleep as well.

As for me, I went to bed and got some sleep. I heard the boys waking up, but Randy took them downstairs. At 3:10 Tammy walked into the room and woke me up for good. I was shocked at how late it was, as we were supposed to take the 3:20 train to go to church. That was not possible any more. I was annoyed it was that late, but at the same time had needed the sleep and was still really tired. We decided to stay home rather than to get to church really late and miss worship. Randy was downstairs with the kids, while I sat down by the computer to get some work done. I wasn't feeling too great all afternoon. At 5:40 I was surprised, when Randy already came upstairs with the kids. I usually have until 6 pm to work, but with them right next to me, working was over. They wanted to watch the Superbook episode on Daniel in the lion's den, but I told them not until 6 pm. And so they threw a fit. I told them the big finger on the clock had to move all the way to the top first. And so they were next to me and watching the finger move closer and closer. At 6 pm I started the video for them and went to the kitchen to start making their dinner.

At 6:30 we sat down at the table to eat, then they continued eating in the bathtub, while having fun. It was around 7:30 that they were all in bed, and I sat down by them. They were all wide awake and made no signs of falling asleep. Just before 8:30 Randy came to take my place, with all of them still awake. They were complaining, when I went to the kitchen to start making my dinner, but I kept shouting back to them that it was all good, and walked over about twice. Once I was done with my food, I sat down to eat. By then it was finally quiet. After I was done eating, I went back to work. I'm somewhat annoyed we missed church today, but a quiet afternoon of working was also a nice change.
