HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1141. This morning we did not have to get up at 8 am like yesterday and tomorrow, and I took advantage of it. Of course Emmy was up first and early. I put on Kasperl for them to watch and went back to bed. That was an additional 23 minutes in bed. After it was over we got up at around 8:40 am. After breakfast we cleaned them up and dressed them. We were in no rush, as we needed to leave at 10 am, which we did.
We took the subway and then walked. As a new tram was just arriving, we got on and rode it for one stop, which saved us some walking, and we arrived at the school early.
We took their shoes and coats off and waited a little bit, then walked into the room. It was their third music class this semester. As we still had to wait for more participants to arrive, the teacher made some small talk with us, and she said to me that she can really see Sammy having made progress since we were in her class half a year ago. That's great to hear.
It was a 50 minute class, and Emmy was not behaving at all today. Tammy, however, behaved well the whole time. I told Emmy that he would not get to watch any videos today if he didn't start behaving and doing what he was supposed to, and Tammy kept asking me if she was still gonna watch videos. I told her that she was participating and behaving, so yes. It cost me some nerves, and the teacher had to scold Emmy a few times. I had Sammy for most of the time, who did really well.
At the end of the class they all got stamps into their cards, then we put their shoes and jackets back on and left. We had a long walk back to the subway. Emmy kept asking to watch videos, and then started crying, when Tammy alone got to watch Peppa Pig. He cried the whole time on the subway, the short two stops we had to ride. He sure seemed pretty tired. In the end he accepted that his sister alone was going to watch. Once we got home just before noon, Tammy stayed in the stroller and continued watching, while Emmy ended up helping me cook lunch, which he greatly enjoyed. When it was time to sit down at the table, he proudly told his sister that he had helped make the food.
It was just after noon, when we started eating, and they all had icecream after. As it was already going on 1 pm, and I had told Tammy she wasn't gonna watch either after lunch because of something she had done, they all went straight to bed. The boys fell asleep first, then I walked away before Tammy was asleep, who fell asleep a few minutes later.
I was tired myself, but I had too much work to do to sleep. I started preparing my 3 lessons I had in the afternoon. Just after 2 pm I set my timer for 20 minutes and closed my eyes and fell asleep. It was a rough awakening, when the timer went off, and the noise also woke up Emmy. It was 2:30, and Emmy came walking into my room. I was surprised that the other two were still sleeping, especially Sammy. At 2:45 I opened the curtains and turned the ocean waves off, and they still didn't wake up right away. As for me, I had to get ready for my 3 pm class. They were still upstairs, when I started it, but Randy then took them downstairs.
I was pretty tired, but taught from 3 to 6 pm. I had just finished, when Randy and the kids already came upstairs. They came straight to me and asked whether they could watch something. I told Emmy that the only thing he could watch given the situation was Superbook. Then he asked to watch Noah's ark, and I agreed. Randy put Sammy into Emmy's bed, standing, and I turned kids' songs on for him, while the other two stood in the dining room, watching on my phone that was standing on a high chair. I went to the kitchen and started making their dinner.
Just after 6:30 we sat down at the table to eat, then they continued eating in the bathtub, where they were also having fun. By 7:40 they were all in bed. They allowed me to go cut my herbs for my soup that was already on the stove, then returned to sit with them. Once the soup was done, they let me sit down at my desk and eat it, as it was close to them, and they could see me. Once I was done, I sat down on the chair by their beds again, but they kept aggravating me, talking and moving instead of going to sleep. I was glad, when Randy was done eating and could take my place. I went to the kitchen to make my sald. It was 9 pm before I could sit down to eat it. After having eaten, I went back to work. Now I still have to clean up the kitchen, and then I can go to bed. It was 1:15 am last night, so I'm glad it's gonna be more like my usual time of midnight tonight.
