HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1142. This morning around 5:30 Emmy came to me because his pj's were wet. His diaper had leaked, and so Randy gave him a new one, and he lay down to sleep with me as his bed was wet. Of course he got up at some point, so that he was already up and running, when my alarm went off at 8 am.
After breakfast we cleaned them up and dressed them and left the house a few minutes after 9 am to make the 9:20 train. After the train we took the tram, then walked after getting off. We changed into our swim clothes, then walked down the stairs to the pool area. Today I took pictures there. We showered and went to the pool, where we sat down on the side, letting our feet dangle in the water. There were some balls, and I gave Sammy one to play with.
Once the previous class was over, we went into the water. We then did a song, after the greeting ritual, and Emmy ended up with the teacher. Then she handed out the swimrings. Tammy and Emmy only need two rings on each arm, as they're doing so well. She had them swim on their own through a tunnel, which they did a few times. Then she had them stand on the side and go without the rings to us parents. They were supposed to dive in the process. Emmy still refused to dive, like last time. Surprisingly he ended up diving in the end after all. They all did a few times.
Then she got out a new toy - board to use as a slide. She sat down on the side of the pool, and the older kids walked out to slide, while the younger kids - and Sammy - were put on the slide. Tammy and Emmy loved it so much that they kept going up and down, who knows how many times. I even got to leave the water to take a video of them. She tilted it higher most of the time than what is on the video.
The end came pretty fast. She did another song and good-bye song, and we left the water to go shower off. We walked back up the stairs to our cabins, where we changed again. Tammy and Emmy are running around so much, making it really hard to keep track of them. I constantly had to call them, especially Emmy, to get them changed.
After we were all dressed, we left the building to walk to the McDonald's across the street. The kids were really excited. We got a table, and then both Tammy and Emmy wanted to come with me to order and pick up the food. They had a display of the current toys there, the smurfs, and I took their picture in front of it. I ordered and picked up the food and carried it to our table. Were were having lots of fun there.
After we were done, we put their coats back on and left to walk to the subway, or rather the carousel right next to the entrance. Last week there was no time for them to ride it, but today they got to ride it again. Sammy sat in the batmobil, Emmy in the jeep, and Tammy chose a motorbike. However, two thirds into the ride she decided she didn't like it and joined Sammy in the car.
Then we took the subway, and then another one, with Tammy and Emmy watching Paw Patrol, and got home a few minutes before 1 pm. I had a message that dance class was starting half an hour earlier than usual today, and so that was even more reason for them to go to bed right away. However, it was another one of those nap times that turned out to be a nightmare, trying to get them to sleep, when they didn't want to. At some point I finally got Tammy to sleep, but the boys kept fussing and not sleeping. I myself was so tired that all I wanted was to take a nap, plus I needed to prepare my 8 pm lesson tonight. Sammy got quiet for a short time, but I'm not sure if he slept. If he did, it wasn't more than 10 minutes. I finally left them to go turn my computer on and prepare my lesson. Then I closed my eyes to get a few minutes of sleep. However, Emmy came into the room and lay down next to me, but without ever sleeping. Then it was just after 2:30, and my alarm went off. I told him that he was too tired to go dance as he had not slept. He started crying and asking me for grace. I finally gave him grace so that he could come after all. I had to wake up Tammy who hadn't slept that long herself, and she was not happy about it. We all left the house just after 2:45 pm.
We took the subway and then the bus and got to the dancing school just in time. We were actually the first one in the room. The regular teacher was sick, and so there was a substitute teacher, and I have to say that I liked her the most of all the ones they've had. She did an absolutely great job with the 8 kids in the class today. Tammy wasn't very motivated at times, but did a lot better than the last few times, participating more. Emmy also had some moments of not participating, but also did well and better than last time. I had Sammy for most of the time, and I could tell he was tired. He lay on my shoulder at some point, which he does when he's tired, and I took a picture of the mirror.
After 50 minutes the class was over, and we put their shoes back on and left to walk to the bus stop. On the way we stopped at the grocery store. The kids wanted the kids' carts again, and they each got one to push that we put the groceries into. A few times they grabbed stuff themselves, but I always put them back. We got a lot of the items on our list and went to check out. The kids were putting everything onto the conveyor belt. We put everything into the bag we had brought, paid, returned the carts and left to go to the bus stop. The kids started watching Paw Patrol again while we were waiting, then continued on the bus. After the bus we took the subway, and by 5:30 pm we were back home.
I was pretty tired and I still had half an hour until 6 pm, but that time just disappeared. It took a long time until the kids finally went downstairs with Randy, a time when I could not do anything. My 8 pm class was canceled, which was a relief to a degree, while also a shame, with the money lost. At 6 pm I started making their food, and just after 6:30 they sat down to eat. They continued eating in the bathtub, while having fun, and it was nearly 8 pm before Tammy was the last one to be in bed. Sammy was already asleep by then. Emmy fell asleep fast too, not having slept at lunch time, but the opposite was true for Tammy. I thought she'd never got to sleep. She let me eat my soup at my desk, where she could see me, then Randy sat down by her, as he was done eating. She was still up for quite some time. I made my salad in the ktichen, and then sat down to eat. After I was done, I started working on today's pictures, and now it's 1 am, and I can hardly keep my eyes open. However, I still have to clean up the kitchen before going to bed.
