Day 1143. This morning the alarm let me know that it was 8 am and time to get up, but of course Emmy had been up first and his siblings woke up after him, and they were all already busy playing. I was very tired after a late night but forced myself out of bed. After breakfast we cleaned them up and dressed them, and moments later the doorbell rang. It was the cleaning lady who was sick last week, so that it was now 4 weeks since last time, instead of 3. It was high time!

Just after she had come into the apartment, the doorbell rang again, and it was the Mobile Support lady. She hadn't been here in two weeks, as she was sick last week. She took Sammy and went downstairs with him and the other kids. I continued tidying up the apartment, then sat down at the computer. I called Paul to get an update as well. There are some important meetings going on these next few days. I didn't get to work much, as it was 11:15 before I knew it. My 10 am class had been canceled, which is why I had the time to do all that I did.

I went to the kitchen to start cooking, while the cleaning lady went downstairs. Soon Randy and the kids came upstairs, and of course they wanted to watch Paw Patrol until it was time to eat. Just after noon we sat down at the table to eat, and everyone had icecream after the main course. Then I cleaned them up and told them they needed to go to bed right away, as we had to leave really early for exercise class today. It wasn't even 1 pm yet, when they lay down.

Of course they did not go to sleep right away. I had to keep encouraging them to sleep. I finally told them that if they did not sleep, there would be no videos for them today. That's the only thing that works right now. I was really tired and needed to get my afternoon lessons lined up, so I left at 1:15 and Randy took my place. It took some more time before everything was quiet. After I had prepared my lesson, I set my timer for 15 minutes and closed my eyes.

It was a rude awakening, when the alarm went off. It was nearly 2 pm. I got up, got myself ready, then Emmy who had already gotten up. Sammy was awake too, and Randy dressed him, while I had to wake up Tammy and put her shoes and coat on. A few minutes after 2 pm we left the house. When the subway arrived, it was one not going all the way to the end, as only every second one goes all the way. That meant we had quite a long wait time and ended up getting to the class a few minutes late.

The kids were rather tired, and Emmy never even ate anything at all on the way to the school. However, they all did well during the class. I like how she does this class for "older" kids (2 to 4-year-olds).  She starts it with a warm-up, then she set up the obstacle course. Today they actually went around a few times and did what they were supposed to do. Even Sammy crawled through the hoop. After a while, she put it all up again, and we sat down on the ground in a circle. She did a few action songs that way. Then she emptied out a big box full of balls, and the kids had to pick them up and bring them back. Sammy also got some balls and put them in with Daddy's help.

Then we put the kids on the mats and pulled them around the room. Next we did some walking songs, and also one, where we sat down again. At one point Tammy went across the room to another girl, and they played together for a little bit. I can see how she would benefit from having a female friend, not just her brother. We did the carousel song, then the good-bye song, and then it was over. We put their shoes and coats back on and left to go home.

Of course the kids wanted to go to the playground again, but I had to tell them that there was no time for that today, as I had a 4 pm student. We went straight to the subway and got on to get home. Once again they were watching videos all the way home.

By 3:45 pm we were back home, which was great for me. Randy and the kids went downstairs, while I was getting ready for my class. Just when it was supposed to start, my student wrote me that her computer had just died and would not start up again. And so my class was canceled. I was very tired anyway, but it still was a shame. At 5 pm I had another class. Once it was over, I went to the kitchen to make the kids' dinner. They had just come upstairs and continued watching videos. At 6:30 we sat down at the table to eat, then they continued in the bathtub. It was 7:50 before they were all in bed. I sat down by them and tried to encourage all three to sleep. Once Randy was done eating, he took my place, while I went to the kitchen to make my salad. They were not too happy, and Tammy kept calling to me for a while, but then it got quiet. I ate my food, and then went back to work. Now it's after midnight, and I still have to clean up the kitchen. Unfortunately we once again have to get up at 8 am tomorrow.
