HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1147. I was looking forward to a morning with no alarm. Once the kids were up, I let them watch videos so we'd have some more time to sleep. It was after 9 am before we finally got up as well. After breakfast we cleaned them up and dressed them and went downstairs, as Emmy insisted we'd read a Bible story together. After we had done so, I went back upstairs to get to work. Time was short, but I enjoyed the time until 11:45. Just after noon we all sat down to eat.
And they were having a bad day. Tammy didn't want the leftover pasta, Emmy ate a little of eat. Then she wanted to eat the leftover soup Daddy was eating, and then Emmy wanted it too and also had some. Nobody had icecream. Around 1 pm they went to bed, without having watched any videos after the meal. There were having a tough time falling asleep. Tammy fell asleep first, then Emmy. Sammy had been silent for a while, and he might have been asleep. Then Randy took my place for a short time, and he was suddenly awake again and never fell back asleep. At some point Randy went downstairs with him. As for me, I went to bed and fell asleep. Emmy walked into the room, when he woke up around 3 pm and wanted some milk, so I got up to give it to him. Tammy was soon awake too. Eventually they all ended up downstairs, while I was making their dinner-to-go boxes. The time was too short to leave at 4 pm, so we were gonna leave at 4:30, and that's what we did.
We took the 4:50 train and then the tram and got to church just before 5:30. We went straight to the front, where Tammy and Emmy grabbed streamers to dance with, but not for long. Emmy stood on the top step to the stage for a long time, just watching the musicians and singers. Sammy was with me, and he was curious to find out what was behind the curtain. He was rather cranky and didn't want to wave the fabric. The kids soon asked to go upstairs. When Emmy fell off the steps, I quickly handed Sammy to Randy and picked him up. I then started dancing with him, and he was soon laughing instead of crying. I was also dancing with Tammy for a little bit. At 5:45 pm we took their food and headed upstairs. I helped getting their shoes off and left. I heard Sammy cry for me just after I had left.
I returned to the sanctuary and enjoyed the service for less than an hour, as I was heading back upstairs. I walked back into the toddler room, and Tammy jumped up and came running to me with joy, when she saw me. I sat down with them by the little table, where Tammy and Emmy both showed me their drawings. Then I took Sammy, fed him for a short time, then put him on the floor by the boxes he likes so much. It wasn't long before it was time to put their shoes back on and leave. Sammy was already saying Anna's name in joyful anticipation of seeing her. We went downstairs, where Anna took an excited Sammy out of my arms. We all went into the lobby, where we put their coats on and then left to go home.
We walked to the tram stop, where I got their food out and let them watch videos. Then we got on the tram and got off at the train station, where we stayed inside, as we had just missed a train. They continued eating and watching, then we went to the platform and got on the 8 pm train home. Back home we got them ready for bed, then I sat down by them. Sammy was asleep first, Tammy fell asleep next, but Emmy didn't seem to want to go sleep. At least he let me go to the kitchen to make my food, and soon it was quiet and he was asleep as well. It was close to 9:30 by then. I sat down to eat, then started working on today's pictures. Now it's going on 1 am and time to clean up the kitchen before going to bed.
