Day 1154. We set a new record in getting up late today since the triplets were born.  I put some videos on for them to watch and went back to bed. It was 9:45 before we got up; I was surprised myself how late it was, but I had only gone to bed at 2 am last night. After breakfast I took them downstairs, where we read a Bible story together, then I went upstairs.

Having got up this late it was nearly 11 am, when I turned my computer on. At 11:40 I went to the kitchen to get our food ready. We sat down to eat at noon. Tammy kept saying that she was really tired. She was the only one who did not have an icecream. After I had cleaned them up, there was still a little time for them to watch videos. At 1:15 they lay down for a nap. However, Sammy had already fallen asleep, while the other two were watching, and when I came to close the curtains and put the others to bed, he woke up. He couldn't have slept long. Unfortunately he does not go back to sleep once he's been woken up, and that was also the case today. Emmy was the first one asleep, and Tammy stayed awake for a long time. In the end she finally did fall asleep, but Sammy didn't. Emmy woke up after about an hour, and I got Sammy out of his bed as well. Randy went downstairs with both of them. I went to the kitchen to make their dinner-to-go boxes.

After I was done with them, Emmy came back upstairs by himself. The gate on the top of the stairs was closed, but Emmy climbed right over it. That's the first time I've seen him do that! He's done it on the gate on the bottom of the stairs a few times before. I then opened the curtains in the kids' room, so that Tammy would wake up but she didn't. At 3:30 I told Emmy to wake up his sister, and he did. Then Randy and Sammy also came back upstairs, and we started dressing them all for church. Just after 4 pm we left the house.

We took the 4:20 train, and then the tram, and got to church before the service started. The kids went straight to the front and picked up streamers to dance with, especially Emmy. I also filmed Emmy turning in circles over and over again. They soon started asking to go upstairs, and I told them soon. I had Sammy for most of the time, and given that his nap had only been 5 to 10 minutes, he was very cranky. I had to work hard to keep him happy.

We were surprised, when the lady from the kids' music class suddenly showed up with her daughter. We had only found out last week that she was a Christian. And now she was at church because her husband was gonna do a presentation. She later also came upstairs so her daughter could take part in the toddler program.

At 5:40 we made our way upstairs to the toddler room, where we were the first ones, then Randy returned to the sanctuary. I went straight to the play kitchen with Sammy, as that is his favorite place, while the other two grabbed strollers and dolls. Emmy also emptied the box of toy cars out on the floor. He then ended up in the little theater corner, where he played "Kasperl" for quite some time, which was just the cutest thing. I should have filmed that.

Once the little girl from music class had come upstairs, she came over to Sammy and me. And it was really sweet how Sammy gave her the pots and pans and all he had that he was playing with. She didn't even want it all.

At 6 pm we sat down in a circle for the program. Emmy was playing with the trains and didn't want to come. I had to keep telling him to come if he still wanted to watch videos today. We did the starting song, then the individual greeting song, where they hug the hand-puppet sheep.  Then they got Bibles, and we did the holding-the-Bible-up-high song. Then the Mom doing the teaching today started with it. It was short and simple. In the end they all sat down at the table, where she offered them some carrot cake. Then it was time for everyone to eat their food/dinner.

I sat down at the table with Sammy, and he ate most of what was in his box - most after he was kneeling on the floor by the boxes exploring them. The other two ate little and finished their whole box on the way home. They had some papers and crayons to draw, and Tammy ran to sit down and do it. She even did two drawings. Emmy was too busy playing and only did the drawing at the very end. Sammy then ended up on the floor playing with a ship, when Randy returned. That gave me a chance to go to the bathroom, then we packed up to return to the sanctuary.

Sammy was already calling Anna's name and was really happy to see her once we had walked down the stairs. The service wasn't over yet, so we walked into the lobby, where we put their coats on and put them into the strollers. We said good-bye to Anna and left to go home.

We walked to the tram stop, where I got their box back out so they could eat while watching videos. We took the tram and got off one minute before the train was supposed to leave. When we reached the platform, it was sitting there, and the people that got off were waiting for our elevator. As soon as the doors opened, we started running to the train. Thankfully the driver could see us and let us on. If we had missed it, we would have had to wait half an hour for the next one. We were glad we had made it.

And so we were already home by 7:45 pm. We got them ready for bed, and about half an hour later they were in bed. I thought they were gonna fall asleep fast, but that was only the case for Sammy. At least they let me eat my soup at my desk, but then Emmy wanted me back in the chair next to him. Tammy was asleep by then. And it did not take long for Emmy to fall asleep as well. Then I could go to the kitchen to make my salad, which takes quite some time, as does eating it, and so it was late before I was able to start working on today's pictures. Now it's 1 am, and I still have to clean up the kitchen.
