HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1132. I had to set my alarm for 8 am this morning. Emmy had come and gone quite a few times during the night, affecting my sleep, and of course they were already up and about, when the alarm went off. After breakfast we dressed them and left the house after 9 am.
It was already 7 months ago that I had bought the tickets for this morning's show. I only had tickets for Tammy, Emmy and myself, as they were really expensive and Sammy wouldn't get anything out of it anyway. The kids had been looking forward to this day for months, and so had I. We took the train, then had a somewhat hard time finding our way to the tram stop under ground. Once we got off the tram, we just had a little bit of walking left to do. I did not want to have a stroller in the event hall, and so Emmy was riding the tricycle and Tammy walking.
We reached the event hall just after 10 am, and I had Randy take a picture of us. Then he and Sammy left to go to the nearby shopping mall, while we went inside. There were lots of people and I had to constantly make sure I had both kids with me. We had to hand in our jackets and got tickets for them. Tammy had not eaten anything at breakfast, and I hadn't had the time to eat, and so we ended up buying a muffin that we shared. Then we went to the bathroom. Once we came back out, we made our way to the stairs leading to the event hall. There was a big Paw Patrol poster, where people were taking pictures of their kids. Because of the long line we decided to do it after and continued to the stairs. We found our good seats in the mid-section, in the 10th row, and sat down. We had three seats, however, they shared one seat for much of the time to see better. It's hard to see for them, when a adult is sitting in front of them.
They were impatient for the show to start, and I could hear other kids as well getting impatient. They were a few minutes late, but then it finally started. And I have to say, it was an amazing show. They couldn't have done it any better. The kids were mesmerized the whole time. It was annoying that they did a 15.minute break in the middle. Tammy and Emmy did not want to leave their seats, and so we stayed and waited, and once again they were impatient for the show to continue. Just before noon it was over.
We headed out and back downstairs, with people everywhere. We went to the bathroom again, and when we came back outside, the lines to pick up jackets was really long. We had no choice but to line up as well. Once we had our jackets, we made our way to the exit. There was a table selling all kind of Paw Patrol stuff, and the kids wanted one toy that was moving and had lights, but it was 30€, way too much. Tammy threw a fit, when I said no, and we left the building. She continued crying and wanting to go back and giving me a hard time walking towards the shopping mall. She only quit as we reached the mall. We walked inside and saw Randy and Sammy one level down, below us. We called them and waved to them. When we left to walk to the elevator and go downstairs to join them, Sammy started crying really hard because we had left again. He does not like being left out, and so he was not happy about the two hours he had alone with Daddy. Once we reached them, I picked him up and ended up carrying him all the way to the place, where we were eating. He put his head on my shoulder and was happy to be with me.
We walked to the food court and found a table to sit down at. The kids wanted pizza, and so we bought some pizza. I then bought a Cordon Bleu to share with everyone as well. After we were done eating, we found the elevator to the street level and walked to the bus stop. We took the bus, where the kids wanted to watch videos, then took the tram, and then the subway. It was 1:50 pm before we got home. That was obviously a pretty late nap time. We took their coats and shoes off and put them straight to bed. I was extremely tired myself. They fell asleep pretty quickly, then I lay down myself and fell asleep.
Emmy was up first, and Randy went downstairs with him. I woke up because I heard Sammy whining and wanting out of bed. It was about 3:30 pm. I finally got up and took him downstairs. Just before 4 pm Tammy also woke up and went downstairs. As for me, it was time to get some work done. I made the most of the two hours I had to do office work, and they still went by too fast. Randy and the kids came upstairs at around 5:40, and the kids wanted to watch videos again. However, Paw Patrol has just become paypable. In the end I let them watch Superbook for the first time, and while they were whining during the first few minutes, they then got it into it and enjoyed it, watching two episodes before it was time for them to sit down at the table to eat dinner.
It was just after 6:30. They ate some, then continued eating in the bathtub, and it was nearly 8 pm before they were all in bed. I sat down by them, but by 8:30 I'd had enough. Randy was done eating and took my place. Emmy and Tammy were still awake and not happy, but soon calmed down. I went to the kitchen and started making my salad, which takes time. After I was done eating, I started working on today's pictures. Now it's midnight and time to go to bed after I've finished cleaning up the kitchen.
