HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1134. The kids were up early, as usual, with Emmy being the first one up. We adults got up at 8:30. After breakfast we dressed them, and I went downstair with them, where we read a Bible story together. Then I went upstairs to get ready for us to leave. At 10 am we left the house, took the subway, and then walked quite a bit to get to the school. It was a very windy day, and once Emmy's cap got blown off and flew away, and I had to run after it, on the street, to catch it.
Their music class started at 10:30 am. It was their second session this semester. These days Sammy always wants to be with me in the classes they take. It's when I'm hurting too much from carrying him that I pass him to Randy, but usually not for long, as he starts crying and fussing because he wants to be with me.
At lot of the songs were done sitting down. Emmy was the one going to the teacher to sit on her lap for the songs, where the parents move their legs. He was also the one dancing with the teacher later on. She had actually asked Tammy first, who didn't want to go, which is not like her. She wasn't participating very well today at times.
We also did some songs walking in a circle. There's one song, where the kids have to spin on the spot, when their name is called, and they all enjoyed doing that. She also did a few songs with fabric, but our kids didn't always do what they were supposed to. And she got instruments out for them to use. Wooden sticks with bells on the end one time, and just wooden sticks another time. Again our kids didn't follow the teacher's lead, doing what she was doing.
After the good-bye song they each got a stamp into their card, and then the class was over.
We put their shoes and jackets back on and left the school to start the long walk back to the subway. By 11:50 we were back home. The kids were finishing the video they started watching on the subway, while I went straight to work making a quick lunch. We sat down to eat after noon some time. Pretty much everyone ate everything, then had icecream, then I cleaned them up. They continued watching for a little bit, and at 1:15 I put them all to bed and sat down by them. Today the boys fell asleep immediately, and Tammy needed a little more time, as usual. But thank God, they fell asleep normally (not like the craziness yesterday). I was very tired myself, but needed to get my afternoon lessons ready. And so I was the only one not sleeping, with Randy being fast asleep as well.
At 2:45 I opened the curtains and stopped the ocean sounds. It was unusual for them all to still be sleeping. Sammy woke up first, then Emmy, but not Tammy. I finally had to get her up. I was going to start teaching at 3 pm, and they needed to be downstairs before then. I gave them something to drink, then they all went downstairs. Then I taught from 3 to 6 pm. A few minutes after I had finished, Randy and the kids came upstairs. I let Tammy and Emmy watch SUPERBOOK, which they're now old enough to understand and enjoy, while Sammy was listening to the kids' songs he likes and playing with a toy cellphone. I was in the kitchen making their dinner. At 6:30 we sat down at the table to eat.
They ate some at the table, then continued eating in the bathtub. We've just recently switched to winter pajamas, and I needed another pair for them. Tammy got her new ones on Friday, while Emmy's arrived today. I know I spoil my kids, but the expression on Emmy's face was pricless, when he saw the "Sam, the Firefighter" pj. He's been playing being a firefighter a lot and enjoys that show (though they've watched all the free episodes). Of course he wanted to wear his new pj's right away, and so he and Tammy both got to wear their new ones and proudly displayed them for the picture.
By 7:50 they were all in bed, and I sat down by them. They were not falling asleep quickly, which is normal. Some time after 8:30 Randy took my place, and I went to the kitchen to get something to eat. After eating I went back to work.
At around 10:30 Sammy started crying, which he's done a few times recently. And he now wants Mommy, not Daddy. So I held him for a few minutes, then I put him to bed and got my computer to sit down with it in the chair next to his bed. That satisfied him, and he was soon asleep again. After a while I left again to work in a more comfortable position. Now I still hope to get some work done, with my goal bed time being midnight.
