HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1107. I was sleeping really well this morning, even with Emmy getting up early and the kids having me open squeezies for them. When the alarm rang at 8 am, it was brutal. I stayed in bed a few more minutes, while Randy started changing their diapers. After breakfast, Randy was getting ready to leave with Sammy at 9 am for his next psychological assessment session. Tammy and Emmy wanted to read a Bible story, so I went downstairs with them, and we read the next one in the book. I actually forgot to mention that a few days ago, when they were in the bathtub, they prayed a prayer to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior and to live with Him.
After the story, we went back upstairs as I had to make a casserole for lunch and put it into the oven, as I was teaching from 10 to 12, which meant no time to cook. The kids were excited to help me cook and were fighting over who'd get to help me. I had them take turns, but still. I took a picture, when Emmy was stirring the food in the bowl, and Tammy was unhappy as she wanted to stir. After the food was in the oven, I was getting ready for my 10 am class. At 9:45 I turned on the video they wanted to watch. At 10 I started the lesson with my student, while the kids were just a few meters away watching their video. It was working surprisingly well. One time I had to go to them to change the video, but my student was working on his own at that point anyway. Just after 10:30 Randy and Sammy came home, and they all went downstairs together.
I finished teaching just before noon, and then Randy and the kids came back upstairs. We sat down to eat, then everyone had icecream. As they had already watched plenty today, I went downstairs with the kids instead. Sammy went into the swing first, while the other two asked for the Paw Patrol sticker book to continue putting stickers into it. Then Emmy spent a few minutes in the swing, and then Tammy. At 1:20 we went back upstairs, and they went to bed. Randy had already left for the grocery store at that point. I sat with them for a few minutes until they were all asleep.
Then I returned to my computer, but I was pretty tired myself and knew I needed some rest. At 2 pm I closed my eyes and fell asleep. It was just before 2:30, when Emmy walked into the room asking for milk. Randy had gone downstairs to lie down, and so I had no choice but to get up and give him the milk. I then opened the gate for him so he could go downstairs. Surprisingly no other kid had woken up, even though he's pretty loud, when he speaks. And so I fell back asleep. Just before 3 pm my alarm woke me up. I got up and turned the ocean waves off, which woke up the other two kids. Randy and Emmy came back upstairs, and we got the kids and everything else ready to leave.
At 3:15 pm we left the house. We got on the subway, rode a few stops, then walked to the bus stop. We rode the bus for a few stops, then walked the rest of the way to the dancing school. They had gone there before the summer, then the school took a two-month summer vacation. Today was the first class after the summer. And it was the same teacher as before the summer. There was only one other child, a girl, and she had never come to this class before. The class lasts for 50 minutes, and it's a jam-packed 50 minutes. We did one song after another, all songs they knew and had done before. Emmy participated for nearly all the time, while Tammy had her moments, when she did not want to participate at all. I had Sammy for most of the class, and he enjoyed it more than ever before, having fun from beginning to end.
After it was over, they put their shoes back on, and we left to go back home. We walked to the bus stop and got on the bus. Tammy and Emmy were watching videos, and continued on the subway that we took after the bus. Just after 5:30 we were back home. Emmy was crying really hard, when I would not let them watch any more videos. And he cried for a long time. At 6 pm I started making their dinner, and the kids came to me to get salami or bread or fruit. At 6:30 we sat down at the table to eat, then they went into the bathtub. They were having fun and eating some more, then they came out one after another. Randy left after having put Sammy's diaper on, as he was picking up a second-hand item at somebody's home. And so I was on my own getting Tammy and Emmy ready for bed. Still, I'm not sure how they were already in bed by 7:15 pm. I sat down by them and stayed until 8 pm. Then I walked away, even though Emmy was the only one asleep. Thankfully Tammy let me go, and I was able to make myself something to eat and then sit down to eat. After having eaten, I went back to work. It's not midnight yet, so I hope to make it to bed at a decent time.
