HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1112. As always the kids were up early and kept coming to me, either to open a squeezie or for something else. Still, somehow it was 9 am before we got up. Emmy doesn't let me stay in bed this long, usually, but it was Sunday after all, so I didn't mind.
And even after breakfast we did not go downstairs right away. The kids had made a mess and thrown all their pillows and comforters on the ground, as well as the new bedding, and so I decided to change their bedding, as it was time to do so anyway. They were watching me, while watching kids' songs on the Alexa device. Once we were done, we finally went downstairs, where I read a Bible story to all three. Then I gave them paper and crayons to draw and went upstairs. It was unusually late for me to turn the computer on at 10:30. Then I went to the kitchen to make chicken noodle soup for lunch. Once it was simmering on the stove, I was able to sit down by my computer and spent just a little bit of time working. Just after noon we all sat down at the table to eat. Emmy ate all his soup, Tammy nearly all of eat, and Sammy ate less than usual. All three had icecream. And then Randy already had to leave before they were done with it. Somebody was giving away a kid's chair that looked exactly like the one the physiotherapist is using with Sammy, and Randy had been succeeding in being the lucky recipient. We'd already been trying to pick it up before, but without success, but now the time had finally come. He left just after 12:30. I then had three kids that all had dirty diapers, cleaned them all up and changed their diapers and dressed them. Then they spent some time watching videos until 1:15, which was bedtime. By 1:30 they were asleep, and I walked away to return to my computer.
I was pretty tired and wanted to sleep. Also, my nose was runny and my throat scratchy; propably the result of our trip into the cold and rain yesterday afternoon, added to my tiredness and weakened immune system. Needless to say, I wasn't feeling too great, but still did some work. And then Sammy already woke up, after barely an hour, before I could sleep, because I had to talk to Randy on the phone as he couldn't make contact with the people he was picking the chair up from and was at a loss. The people never responded to our messages, and so Randy turned around. Before he was back home, they finally responded and apologized, and so Randy turned around again and finally got the chair. They gave him a carpet with roads on it as well as a gift to make up for the inconvenience.
But Sammy was awake. I picked him up and took him to my bed with me. He was asking for Daddy and nearly started crying, when I told him he wasn't back yet. But then I made him laugh, and he was okay. It wasn't long before Emmy was up as well, and then Tammy. I had no choice but to go downstairs with them.
Tammy wanted to swing and did so first, then Sammy who wanted to swing really bad, and then Emmy. Tammy and Emmy also wanted to draw, and Emmy showed me that he can also draw a face. Good job! And then they wanted to do the Paw Patrol sticker book. Sammy played the piano for a while, then the drums, and then he used the Tiptoi stick with a book to listen to some songs. So did Tammy.
At 3:15 Daddy finally came home. Thank God! Sammy was so very excited, as he's extremely attached to him, really too much. He was able to pull himself up into a sitting position on the bottom of the staircase, but that's how far he can go up. Randy brought the chair downstairs, and I put Sammy into it. He sat really well in it, as he could put his arms on the armrests, giving him stability. Then we put the carpet with the roads on the floor, and the kids got some cars to play on it. Sammy wanted to play there too, so I put him on the carpet as well. He wanted the big car Emmy was playing with, but of course Emmy did not want to give it to him. However, Emmy has a really good heart and always ends up giving what he has to either his brother or his sister, when they want it. When Emmy wants something from his sister, she usually says no and sticks with it. As for Sammy, they just take what he has, when they want it. And Sammy tries to take what he wants from them, but usually does not succeed.
With Randy finally there, I then returned upstairs to finally get some work done and get some rest at the same time. It was too late to go to church, and I didn't really feel up for it either. I enjoyed the two hours I had until 6 pm, even though they passed by way too quickly.
Not only did I go to the kitchen to make their food at 6 pm, Randy and the kids also came upstairs. They were watching stuff, while I was making their food, then we sat down at at the table to eat. After they were done, they went into the bathtub, where they continued eating and were having fun. By 7:40 pm they were all in bed, and I sat down by them. After Randy was done eating, he took my place at about 8:15, and thankfully they were okay with that, even though Tammy was protesting at first. I got myself something to eat, then went back to work. Hopefully I make it to bed around my target time of midnight.
