HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1176. I did not set an alarm this morning, as I knew that my biological alarm clocks would make sure I'm up. We took our time and got up at about 9 am. After breakfast, we cleaned them up and dressed them and left the house just after 10 am. We took the subway, then walked to the school, where they have their music class every Monday morning.
We got there just as the kids from the previous class were coming out of the room. We took our kids' coats and shoes off and went into the room. Three other kids were in class with ours today. We started with the greeting song, where each kid's name is mentioned, then did the "Kuschelbär" song, where each kid gets the song with his/her name. Then she did songs with the kids riding on our legs. Tammy ran to the teacher first to sit on her legs, but Emmy wanted to be there too. So she did two songs with Tammy and two songs with Emmy on her legs.
She handed out hand instruments at different times. One time the sticks that were rattles, another time the sticks with bells on the end. I had Sammy most of the time and helped him out where necessary. He was sitting on his knees between my legs.
As for Emmy, he wanted to be with the teacher for much of the time today and often just sat down beside her or on her lap. When she brought out those two individual xylophone parts (I don't know what they're called), he wanted to be first to play them, and after all, he was sitting closest to the teacher. But the teacher let another kid play first, then another and another. He ended up being the previous to last, as she had gone in a circle from kid to kid. Emmy took it well after all.
We also did some songs walking around the room. She always plays one song, where everyone can dance as they want. The one today alternated between fast and slow music. Every time it turned fast, they started running around the room as fast as possible while laughing out loud. I was carrying Sammy and started going wild with him too, making him laugh as well.
They participated pretty well, even though they had to be encouraged at times to do what they were told. They both asked me from time to time whether they were behaving well, as they were worried that they were not gonna get to watch videos on the way home.
At the end they each got a stamp in their card, then we dressed them to go back home, where we arrived just before noon. Tammy and Emmy continued watching, while I was warming up yesterday's leftovers. It didn't take long until we were able to sit down and eat. Sammy did not want any icecream today, but the other two had some. They continued watching videos after they were done, but today I already put them to bed at 1 am instead of the usual 1:15. They had all said they were tired, and in fact, by 1:15 they were already asleep, which is very unusual. I was very tired myself, sat down by my computer to get everything ready for my 3 pm class, then closed my eyes to also get a nap in. I set an alarm for a little less than an hour later, but was woken up at 2:30, when I heard Sammy crying. I got up and saw that Randy and Emmy had already gone downstairs. Randy had just come up to get Sammy.
I was getting ready for my 3 pm session, and soon pulled the curtains open for Tammy to wake up. She sleeps really well, so I started calling her name, and then she got up and went downstairs to join the boys. As for me, I had to teach from 3 to 6 pm. I finish exactly at 5:50 pm, which is usually, when Randy and the kids come upstairs, but today they already came upstairs 5 minutes earlier than that. That was a problem, as the kids always come running straight to me. I had to open the door to let them in so they would not scream or cry. When Randy tried to pull them out and close the door, they did just that, so I quickly let them come back in and watch, as I finished my lesson. My student never reacted to them.
Tammy and Emmy started watching Superbook, while I went to the kitchen to make dinner. At 6:30 we sat down to eat, then they continued eating in the bathtub while playing. We got them ready for bed, I read them a bedtime story, prayed for them, and had the fly into their beds. It was just before 8 pm. I sat down by them and encouraged them to sleep, after everyone had had the bottle of milk several times. Once Randy was done eating, he took my place so I could go to the kitchen and make my salad. Emmy always wants me to open our bedroom door, when I do that. My computer is in there, and he can see the light from his bed. By the time I sat down to eat at 9 pm, they were asleep.
After having eaten, I started working on today's pictures. Now it's nearly midnight and time to clean up the kitchen and go to bed a little earlier, as we have to set our alarm for tomorrow morning.
