Day 1183. Yesterday was a Sunday, and the plan was to go to church in the afternoon. However, Tammy had a fever and felt pretty bad all day, so there was no going to church. Staying at home allowed me to write a long overdue email newsletter. Now the question is when I'll have the time to do the German and French translation.

Just to be sure, I set my alarm for 9 am this morning. It was the third rough night in a row, mainly Tammy coughing and crying and needing milk or to be covered or coming to us. And today it hit me hard as well. After breakfast we cleaned them up and dressed them and left the house a little late after 10 am.

We took the subway and then walked to the school, where we arrived 5 minutes late for their music class. I felt pretty miserable and had a tissue by my nose pretty much all the time, and that's also the way the rest of the day has been. And so the class was hard for me today because of that, but the kids also participated little, and I was not up to doing anything about it. Even the teacher wondered about Emmy, who was sitting next to her at times and wouldn't even answer her questions. I had Sammy the whole class, while Randy tried to encourage Tammy to participate. I was glad, when the class was over.

We put their shoes and coats back on and started our long walk back to the subway. They asked to watch videos, but not today, the way the class went. Just before noon we were back home. Thankfully I only had to warm up yesterday's leftovers, put it into plates that I put on the table, and then I went to bed. Randy fed Sammy today. After they had eaten, they wanted to watch videos, and Randy turned Veggie Tales on for them. I was too sick to make my own lunch, so I skipped it. At 1:15 I forced myself out of bed to put them down for their nap and sit down by them. It was the only way they would fall asleep, and it was a good few minutes after 1:30 before I was able to walk away.

I had three afternoon lessons and tried to move two of them to another day, but could only do so with the 5 pm lesson. That meant I had to teach from 3 to 5 pm, and I was wondering how to do that today, as miserable as I was feeling. I never even took a nap, but started preparing my 3 pm lesson, when I realized I could not cancel it. Thankfully I enjoy teaching, which is what helped me to it even being sick and with a tissue at my nose the whole time. The boys were both up before 3 pm, but Tammy woke up while I was teaching and simply went downstairs to join the boys.

After I was done teaching at 5 pm, I did some more paperwork, then went to the kitchen as I had not even emptied the dishwasher yet. I felt pretty bad, but as a Mom that does not matter. I still had to make their dinner. So I slowly got started, and then the kids were already coming upstairs. A package had arrived for them, and they were eager to open it. It contained Paw Patrol hats, gloves and scarves for the two Paw Patrol fans. They were very excited and looked great in them. It was not easy to get them to take them off for dinner.

After they were done eating at the table, they did not go into the bathtub right away as usual. I told them that their music school had an online bedtime storytime tonight, and we were gonna check it out. It started at 6:45, so we had a few minutes to wait until then. We all sat down on Mommy and Daddy's bed and started the Zoom call. It lasted for half an hour, and there were quite a few other toddlers watching. One teacher had a felt board and told several stories with it, also doing several songs. Emmy sang along a few times and answered the teacher's questions, more than Tammy did.

Once it was over at 7:15, we went into the bathtub, where they continued eating their food while playing. Then we got them ready for bed, and by 8 pm they were all in bed - after another bedtime story with Mommy. I felt so miserable that I was glad, when Randy took my place in the chair, even though the kids were not very happy about that. I was too sick to take half an hour to cut up my salad, so I made something quick, ate it, and then started working on today's pictures. I'm hoping to make it to bed at a decent time, as it's a busy and a long day tomorrow, and if I feel tomorrow the way I feel today, I don't know how I'll make it.
