Day 1193. Yesterday Sammy had speech therapy in the morning, and so I was thankful that Christine from Caritas could come and play with Tammy and Emmy, which allowed me to work. I then had a text message that the kids' exercise class was not happening because the teacher was sick, and in all honesty, I did not mind as I was very tired. The kids got to sleep longer than usual after lunch, and I was teaching from 4 to 6 pm, and then at 8 pm.

This morning it was a phone call that woke me at 8:15 am. Of course Emmy was already up and had repeatedly woken me up. It was the IKEA people who were supposed to come at 10 am to repair our kitchen that was still under warranty. They told me that they were gonna be with us at 8:45 already, and so we got up. They arrived just before 9 am, only to state that they couldn't do the job as something was missing, and so they left again.

After breakfast we finally opened 3 of the 5 advent calendars that the kids have. They were impatient to do so. One had candy, another one Paw Patrol toys, and the third one Tiptoi booklets. They enjoyed all three, then they wanted me to read a Bible story to them, and so we went downstairs, where I did so. Then it was time for me to get some work done, and so I went upstairs.

They came upstairs for lunch before noon, and we soon sat down to eat. After lunch they wanted to watch Paw Patrol until it was nap time. At 1:15 pm I put them to bed. The boys had just fallen asleep, when the doorbell rang. It was an Amazon delivery. Unfortunately Sammy woke up from it and never fell back asleep. That was unfortunate. I never got to sleep, even though I needed it bad. And then Randy was concerned that Sammy was gonna be extremely cranky at his physiotherapy appointment. So I offered to switch places with Randy that I would go to physiotherapy with Sammy (as I also had a valid Covid test which you have to have), and he'd take the other two to dance class. He agreed, and it was a good decision.

When Emmy woke up, I let him know that Daddy was going with them, and he started crying. He soon got over it though. Sammy was crying, when Randy dressed him to leave the house, but as soon as I was the one leaving with him at 2:30, there was no more crying the whole time we were gone. He was perfectly happy that Mommy was taking him, and he stayed happy the whole time. Tammy woke up after we'd left the house, and she cried at first, when Mommy wasn't there. Randy and the kids left only 15 minutes after all.

Sammy and I took the subway, then had a long walk, and we got to the center early. I showed my test, and then we waited for Sammy's physiotherapist. She's been working with Sammy since September as his previous therapist had left, and it was the first time that I was in a physiotherapy session since instead of Daddy. Randy is the one working with him, so it makes more sense for him to take Sammy and learn what to do with him at home. He's not been too keen on the new therapist, but I had a great time there, and so did Sammy. For an hour she worked with him and was surprised at times with what he could do. I was also really happy to see what all he can do now.

After the hour was up we left the center to go back home. We walked back to the subway, rode it for two stops, and were home by 4:15 pm. The other two's class was from 3:30 until 4:20, and as I had a 5 pm lesson, I was really hoping that they'd be back by then. Tammy and Emmy I can leave alone, when I have to teach, but I can't do that with Sammy. When they were still not home just before 5 pm, I called Randy and found out where they were. I asked my student to start at 5:10 instead, and they returned just before that. Randy then went downstairs with all three, and I was able to teach until 6 pm. They came back upstairs before then, but it was alright.

After I was done teaching, I went to the kitchen to make their dinner. I was extremely tired. Just after 6:30 we sat down to eat, then they continued eating in the bathtub. They were eager to open the other two advent calendars that had Peppa Pig and Paw Patrol books inside, but I had an 8 pm lesson, so I told them it depended on how fast we were. It then worked out for us to read the two books, for me to pray for them and put them to bed. But then I only had 5 minutes left to take my computer downstairs and start teaching, so it was tight. Randy was the one to sit down by them and help them go to sleep.

I taught until 9 pm, then went upstairs to make my salad. The kids were all asleep, which was good as we have an early morning tomorrow. However, it took me a while to make and eat my food, then write my report. At 11:30 Emmy walked into the room and lay down next to me. Now it's just after midnight and time to clean up the kitchen so I can also go to bed as soon as possible.
