3 years 30 days

Day 1125. It's been four days since my last blog, which means we haven't gone anywhere in that long, and my days have been filled with teaching.

On Wednesday I had a 10 am lesson, but my afternoon lessons were canceled. On Thursday morning I went to see my doctor who took my blood and gave me blood pressure medication because it was so high. I was also extremely tired, and have been really tired, as I've had a cold these past few days, and the kids as well. Because of that cold they don't sleep well and are up a lot, keeping me up as well, and so I'm pretty exhausted. I took a Covid test, but it was negative. Thursday was a busy day as I had webinar at 1 pm and then taught from 4 to 6 pm, and then again at 8 pm, after the kids had gone to bed.

Yesterday Friday I taught two hours in the afternoon. The kids have gone outside to run their scooters a few times these past few days. This is the last week that they'll be home this much, as two more of their classes start next week, bringing the total number of their weekly classes to 4.

Sometimes I have to set my alarm in the morning, while we're more relaxed at other times. It's happened that we have gotten up at 9 am, which gives the kids more time to pull down stuff everywhere. This morning my alarm went off at 8 am, and I had to get up, even though I was exhausted. I had a 9:30 am class, which is earlier than usual. After breakfast and cleaning them up and dressing them, they went downstairs at 9 am, while I was getting ready for my class. I taught a second class at 10:30, and after I was done, I went to the kitchen to start making lunch. At noon we sat down to eat. After their icecream, I cleaned them up, and they started watching some videos . Just before 1:30 I put them to bed for their nap. Randy left for the grocery store, while I sat down by them. I was very tired and think I even fell asleep for a moment. At 2 pm I left them to lie down myself. I think I fell asleep again, but not for long, as I had to keep an eye on my phone with Sonja coming. Since she couldn't ring the door bell with the kids sleeping, I had to wait for her message saying that she had arrived. And then Emmy already got up at about 2:20 pm, and Sammy a few minutes later. After having them in the bedroom with me for a short time, I decided to go downstairs with them and have Sonja come in downstairs as well. She arrived a few minutes later. I went back upstairs. Randy had returned, and I just no more chance to sleep. At about 3:30 Tammy started waking up, and I sat down by her for a few minutes. She then went downstairs to also be with Sonja. Randy left on another grocery store run, while I was getting ready for my 4 pm class.

After my class, I enjoyed having some time before starting to make their dinner at 6 pm. I went on the balcony and saw them downstairs with Sonja. They were running their scooters up and down. Sammy was on the tricycle. At 6 pm I started making their dinner, and at 6:30 they came upstairs to eat. Sonja still stayed with us, helping with feeding Sammy, while I was still cutting up fruit in the kitchen. When the kids went into the bathtub, Sonja left.

It was 8 pm before the kids were in bed. They always ask me whether I have a student now, as I teach at 8 pm 1-2 times per week. When I say no, they are happy that I can sit down by them. I sat in the chair until 8:40 tonight, then I walked away to get something to eat, even though Tammy was still awake. She called me a few times, but was okay that I did not come back. I just hope everyone is sleeping better tonight, as their colds have improved as well, including mine.

Sammy has been adding new words to his vocabulary this past week. On Tuesday they asked us if he's putting together two words yet, and on Thursday I heard him do so for the very first time, when he said "da oben" (up there).
