HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 920. Last night it was 1:15 am, when I headed to bed. This morning they were up early, as usual, around 6:30, and I got up at 7:30. I made breakfast, and we sat down to eat. Then I cleaned them up and dressed them, and we went downstairs. They got their new drum set out, and so I took my computer to leave, but Tammy stopped me, reminding me that we had not read the Bible yet. So I put the computer down, and Emmy and Tammy listened and looked carefully as I read two stories to them. Then I went upstairs to work.
At 11 am Sonja arrived. They were impatient for her to come downstairs so they could show her their new drums. After a little while I went to the kitchen and put some food into the oven, then continued working. At noon I called them all upstairs to eat.
We sat down at the table and had fun. Especially Emmy is our comedian. They had some pudding after their meal, then I cleaned them up, and we dressed them. Emmy was the first one in bed at 12:35, and Sammy came just moments later. By 12:45 they were asleep. At 1 pm Tammy came upstairs and went to bed. I stayed for a few moments then left. By 1:15 pm she was asleep as well.
But it was only 1:37, when Emmy walked into the room, so he hadn't even slept an hour. All he wanted was to go be with Sonja, and so Randy took him downstairs. Sammy also woke up in the process and by 1:45 he was crying so much that I got him out of bed and he went downstairs as well. I finally tried to close my eyes, as I was so very tired, but never got to sleep. As Randy was getting ready to leave with Sammy to take him to his weekly physiotherapy session, Tammy woke up and walked into the room. It was 2:35. I picked her up, but she also wanted to go downstairs, and so I took her. Later I brought them some snacks, and their snow suits and shoes so they could go outside to ride their cars for a bit. I also got some bottles of bubbles, which they were excited about. We dressed them, and then Sonja went outside with them, while I went upstairs to continue working.
Randy and Sammy returned at 4:30 and went downstairs to join them outside. They were all having fun. At 5 pm they came back inside. They did a lot with Sonja today, as usual, including drawing, and Sonja said that Sammy did more drawing than ever before. They also got this board out again where you put different colored knobs inside that especially Tammy enjoys a lot.
At 5:15 I started making their dinner and then I went downstairs to tidy up with them. They did not help today. Then we all went upstairs together and sat down at the table to eat. It was time to say good-bye to Sonja. After having eaten a little bit they wanted to go into the bathtub. Neither one of them wanted to go potty. They all ate quite a bit while in the water, though not everything, and had fun playing. Then they came out, one after another, and I was surprised to see that it was already 7:15 pm, when they were finally all in bed, and I sat down by them.
As always Tammy wanted to lie on me, and Emmy wanted to hold my hand. It took until 7:50 before I was able to walk away because they were all asleep or nearly asleep. I got myself something to eat, ate, and then went back to work. Once again I'm hoping to make it to bed earlier tonight and get to catch up on sleep a little.
