Day 921. Last night I headed to bed at 12:35, much later than planned.  Emmy came before I fell asleep. I held him for a few minutes, and then he was willing to go back to bed and just walked there by himself. He was back in the early morning hours and already up for good by 6:15. Soon Sammy was making it known that he wanted out of his bed, and so Randy got it and put him in our bed. It wasn't long before Emmy was getting frustrated that Tammy was still asleep. He wanted to wake her up, but I said no. I'm not sure if he played a role in her waking up at 7 am. We got up a few minutes later before they could get into the cookie boxes or the like.

I made breakfast, and we sat down to eat. Then I cleaned them up and dressed them, and we went downstairs to read the Bible. Then I left them to go upstairs and start working. At 10 am I went to the kitchen to make the soup that  then had time to boil until lunch time, while I went back to work. Randy came upstairs with the kids at 11:50; I already had their food in bowls in the fridge to cool off at that time.

At noon we sat down to eat. Both Tammy and Emmy ate everything in their bowl and got a gummy bear as reward. Then they had pudding, or rather Tammy did because Emmy threw a fit, when I gave one of the two Peppa Pig puddings in his hand to Tammy, and so he threw the other one away. I then cleaned them up and dressed them, and the boys went to bed. They were really excited about the fresh sheets. By 12:50 Emmy was asleep, Sammy before that. Tammy came upstairs just after 1 pm and was asleep by 1:15. Then I left her side and returned to my computer to work.

At 1:40 I could already hear Sammy and picked him up a few minutes later before his whining could increase and wake his siblings up. He ended up playing on the floor near Randy for a while, before he took him downstairs. At 2:10 Emmy walked into the room. I picked him up and he lay on me for a while. He then ended up staying with me and got up with me, when I needed to get everything ready for us to go. Randy came upstairs with Sammy, and then Tammy woke up from the noise as well. We got them all dressed and everything ready to leave, and left just after 3 pm.

We took the subway to the end and then had to still take a tram for one stop. However, there were so many people there, and it looked like no train was coming any time soon, that we decided to walk. We finally arrived - late - at the entrance to the ice-rink on the big square in front of Town Hall and saw our friends right away. We hadn't seen each other in a while. My friend has a son that is one year older than ours. We registered, showed our recovery papers, and were let in. We picked up the free skates to mount to the kids' shoes and walked to the free ice-rink for the little ones. It was my friends' first time there, and their son's first time on ice, and he enjoyed it.

We put their skates on and were lucky to get a bear for them to use, as there were a lot of people and the figurines to hold on to or sit on were all in use. One of them sat down on the bear, and the other one was standing behind him, holding on and pushing and walking. I put my hands on their hands and walked with them. Emmy is really good at gliding on the eyes and let me push them with him gliding the whole time. Tammy still walks most of the time, but started gliding more today. After one round they would switch, and we did that a few times. I was going fast, when they were gliding, and was starting to get tired from all the effort. And then Emmy asked for food. They had not wanted to eat earlier, so it was time to take a break to eat something. We had to give up our bear and sat down on a bench and got the squeezies and snacks out. My friend bought some fries and kid-punch and shared them with our kids who enjoyed the fries, but not so much the punch. I had Sammy, as he was not happy with Daddy, but was happy with me.

After a while we noticed that everbody had left the ice and curiously looked to see what was going on. They had some huge wipers that they went across the ice with to remove all the "snow". Then everyone was allowed back on the ice. I had Emmy and Tammy again, but Emmy wasn't motivated any more. He was the one sitting with Tammy pushing, and we did a few more rounds before they'd had enough. I took Sammy again, and Tammy and Emmy were running around having fun, while Randy was trying to keep up with them. He usually has Sammy and is not used to running after them. Then they wanted to go down stairs, where there were lots of leaves and the wipers that still had some snow on them. Tammy, Emmy, and our friend's son had fun playing with the leaves, while I was standing on top with Sammy, watching them. Then they came back up and we started getting ready to leave. We put them into the strollers and went to the place where you return the skates. Then we started walking to the exit and to the tram stop. We said our good-byes to our friends and got on the tram to ride one stop to the subway.

Tammy had thrown a fit, when I put her in the stroller, and it ended, when I told her we were getting some chestnuts. So we walked to the chestnut stand and bought them, and I gave them to them while walking to the subway. We got on, and they wanted out to sit on the seats, which they did. We put them back into the strollers before getting off and walked through our apartment door not long before 6 pm.

They wanted their clothes off immediately and get frustrated, when they can't take them off themselves, though they are able to do more and more. They pulled chairs to the kitchen counter and stood on them to eat, what I was putting on their plates. Then we sat down at the table to eat. However, Emmy refused. He wanted to go straight in the bathtub and just did. Tammy was sitting on my lap and helped put their food into a bowl that we could take to the bathtub with us. Then she also went into the water.

And they surprised me because they ate nearly everything in their bowl. Sammy at first didn't want to, but then he also finished eating everything in his bowl. They were all playing for a long time before we started getting them out. And so it was 7:15 before they were all in bed.

I sat down by their beds, and Tammy lay down on my chest, and then the talking started. I thought they'd be asleep faster considering how tired they had seemed. It was 7:50 before I walked away to get myself something to eat. After having eaten I went back to work.
