HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 960. Last night I went to bed at 1 am. This morning Emmy was already up just after 6 am. Why does this boy always get up so early?!? Then Tammy woke up and Sammy, and Sammy was crying so hard that we had to bring him to our bed, and in the end we already got up just after 7 am. I was really tired.
We sat down to have breakfast, then I cleaned them up and dressed them and took them downstairs, where we read a Bible story. Then I took my computer upstairs to work. But I decided it was more important for me to sleep, and so I lay down at 8:30 am and fell asleep. I woke up at 11:10, turned my computer, and only had until 11:30 to work before having to go to the kitchen to cook. They all came upstairs before noon; at noon we sat down at the table to eat. Emmy ate everything, and Sammy also like the dish and ate more than usual. Only Tammy ate little. They all had pudding, then we cleaned them up and dressed them. By 12:45 the boys were in bed, and Tammy went downstairs.
And then the fight to get them to sleep started again; today it was only Emmy. Sammy fell asleep after a few minutes, while Emmy was giving me a hard time. I finally gave up and went downstairs to be with Tammy, while Randy went upstairs to be at Emmy's side. I was reading a book to Tammy, when I heard Emmy cry for me. I finally stopped reading and went upstairs, while Randy went back downstairs. Then I was finally able to get Emmy to sleep. It was 1:25. And so Tammy came upstairs and went to bed. She always has a book with her, but usually hands it to me. Not today. She spent a few minutes looking through the book, then handed it to me and turned around to sleep. A few minutes later she was asleep, and I was finally able to go to the kitchen, finish cleaning up and then sit down by the computer to work.
Around 2 pm Emmy often wakes up. I heard him cry my name and was able to stroke his head right away and keep him from getting up. He fell back asleep, thank God. It was 2:20, when Sammy woke up, and Randy got him and went downstairs with him. At 2:45 I got up to get ready, and at 3 pm I woke up Tammy and Emmy. It's highly unusual for Emmy to still be asleep this late, and it probably explains why it took him so very long to fall asleep tonight. I dressed them both, we put them all into the strollers, and left a little late at 3:20.
It was a warm and sunny day - about time! We took two subways and then had to walk quite a bit. Emmy was more quiet than usual. We got to the dancing school a little late, checked in, and went upstairs, where we took our shoes off and went into the room. It was after 4 pm, and there was only one other little girl, and they had not started yet. The teacher was excited to see us, as she had thought she'd only have the one girl. Randy was changing Sammy's diaper, so it was only the three of us with them for the first two songs/dances. The class is only 45 minutes long - even less as it starts late - but it's intense, doing one dance after another. Tammy is very concentrated and trying hard to do all the movements and actions to the songs, watching the teacher closely, and she's having lots of fun. She's definitely a little dancer! With Emmy being seemingly tired today, he did not participate that much, but did the movements at times, and just watched at other times. He wanted me to hold him quite a few times, which I did. Sammy was with Randy most of the time today, but I also had fun with him with one dance. He loves music and enjoys all the movements, and clapped of his own accord at the right time a few times, and also pointed at body parts, when asked.
The class seemed to be over really quickly today. Tammy insisted on putting her shoes on by herself, even though it takes longer, but she can do it now. Then we went downstairs, put their light jackets on and put them into the strollers and left. Emmy was in the double stroller with Sammy, which is rare. We started our long walk back to the subway.
We took two subways and got home at 5:40. The kids wanted to go downstairs, and so they did together with Randy, while I started making their dinner. I was done by 6 pm and called them upstairs to eat. We sat down at the table, they ate some, and the rest went into bowls to be taken to the bathtub, where they ate some more. Then they came out of the water, we got them ready for bed, and by 7 pm they were all in bed.
I sat down by their beds, Tammy lay on my chest, and we talked for a little while. Then Tammy went to bed, and I started singing to encourage them to sleep. Sammy was asleep first, then Tammy, but Emmy was still up and giving me a hard time. I tried to walk away at 7:45, but it didn't work. I returned, and a few minutes later he accepted for Daddy to sit down instead of me. Pretty soon they were both asleep.
I went to the kitchen and started making my dinner, then went downstairs to eat, and then back to work. Time just flies and so I did not get as much done as I would have liked. At least it's been a rather quiet night, and Sammy is not coughing as often as he did last night.
