HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 948. I've just erased what I have written and have to start all over again. And that on a day, when I'm not feeling well anyway.
Last night I went to bed at 1:30 and found Tammy and Emmy in it, sleeping next to Randy. I moved them both to their beds, they soon returned, they stayed for a few minutes, and then I took them back again. It was a rough night with them coming a few times like this. Emmy was the first one up, as usual, around 7 am, then Sammy started crying and joined us in bed, and soon they were all up and running. At 7:45 I also got up and went to the kitchen to make breakfast.
We sat down to eat, then I cleaned them up and dressed them, and we went downstairs, where we read a Bible story. Then I took my computer to go upstairs to work, much to their dismay. However, I ended up coming back downstairs a few times because one of them was crying. I was extremely tired and my eyes falling shut while working. At 11:40 I stayed downstairs and had fun playing with them. Just before noon we went upstairs to eat; it was leftovers day, so I just had to warm up the food.
We'd been waiting for my friend all morning who had announced herself that she was coming to bring us some clothes and toys from her children. She arrived, while we were eating, and sat down with us to catch up a little. Suddenly our talkative children were all quiet. Once they were done eating, they were eager to look into all the bags my friend had brought, and each picked out a sweatshirt they wanted to put on right away. They also sat down on this little caterpillar with wheels and ended up rolling around with it together. Then my friend had to say goodbye, and it was time for the boys to go to bed. It was 12:45. They both fell asleep at the same time around 1 pm. A few minutes later Tammy went to bed and it took her about 10 minutes to fall asleep. I was so exchausted that I went to bed myself.
At 2:10 Emmy walked into the room and lay down with me and fell asleep. At 2:30 Sonja texted me that she was at the door, and so Emmy was up and eager to let her in. Sammy also woke up, and Randy got him ready and left with him to go to physiotherapy a few minutes later. Emmy went downstairs with Sonja to play, and I sat down by the computer to work. At 3:20 Tammy woke up and went straight to the gate by the staircase, as she had heard Sonja downstairs, and I took her downstairs, together with their snacks. I was thankful that Sonja had agreed to come for 2 hours so I could have some quality work time. I was able to get a lot done, even though I felt pretty miserable and have been all day. Randy returned with Sammy at 4:30 and Sonja left. I continued working. At 5:15 pm I went to the kitchen to make their dinner, which takes me about half an hour. I then shouted down to Randy that I was not up to coming downstairs and tidying up with them, and so he was the one doing it, as the kids refused to help. Then they came upstairs, and we all sat down at the table to eat. They ate pretty well, then continued eating in the bathtub, where they were also having lots of fun. By 7 pm they were all in bed. I sat down by them, and they both wanted to lie on my chest, but Emmy soon returned to his bed as he thought that there was not enough room for both of them. He held my hand instead. After a while Tammy also went to bed. By 7:40 they were all close to falling asleep, when Emmy said he wanted Daddy sitting there instead of me. Tammy immediately shouted, "No, Mommy!" I called Randy, who had finished eating, and talked to Tammy so she'd let me walk away, and she did. She did call me a few times, but I shouted back from the distance and that satifisied her. One time I returned to her to stroke her head and cover her up and found Daddy fast asleep in the chair.
I got myself something to eat, sat down to eat, and then continued working. I still have quite a headache and am not feeling well, so I'm going to bed earlier tonight. Usually I'm downstairs and Randy is upstairs, but tonight it's the opposite. I stayed in our bedroom to eat and work, while Randy is tinkering with the benches he's made.
