Day 985. Last night I went to bed at 12:15 am. Tammy joined us some time, and after a while Randy carried her back to her bed. She returned in the morning, and so did Emmy. It was around 7 am, when he came, and he never went back to sleep. Soon they were up and running, and at 7:40 I got up as well. I made breakfast, and we sat down to eat.

After breakfast we cleaned them up and dressed them and went downstairs, where I read a Bible story to them. Then they started playing, and I went upstairs to work. At 11:45 I went to the kitchen to warm up leftovers for lunch, and at noon we sat down to eat. Nobody cared much for the warmed up food, including Randy. They all had pudding, then we cleaned them up and dressed them. The boys were in bed by 12:45, while Randy went downstairs with Tammy. At 12:55 I was able to walk away and return to my computer to work. At 1:20 Randy and Tammy came upstairs, and Tammy went to bed, while I sat down by her. At 1:35 she was asleep, and I got up to walk away. And suddenly Emmy got out of bed. I tried to put him back down, but he didn't want to. I tried to rock him, but he didn't want to. Finally I was able to get him to lie down with my in my bed, after he'd had some milk, and he did close his eyes for a few minutes. He had also woken up Sammy, when he got up, but Sammy also got quiet again. I think I fell asleep with Emmy in my arm. At 2 pm Emmy was up again, and so was Sammy, and Randy went downstairs with them both. Even though I wanted to close my eyes some more, I had to go to the kitchen to make their dinner-to-go. At 2:15 Tammy woke up from the noise the boys were making and came running to the kitchen. After a few minutes she took three squeezies that she went downstairs with, while I continued making their dinner-to-go. At 2:40 they came upstairs, we dressed them and got ready to leave the house. Just after 3 pm we left and walked to the train station.

We took the train, and they all came out of the stroller and sat in seats. Sammy greatly enjoyed being out. Then we still had a subway ride ahead of us, followed by a walk through a mall. Sammy does not like being separated from me and his siblings, but we don't all fit into the elevator at the mall. Since he wanted out of the stroller anyway, I took him out and put him on the stroller handle, and so I could take all three in the elevator. Once we got off, the other two were able to get out and walk to church.

We got there just before the service started and found seats in the back of the church. A few people said hello. I had Sammy, while the other two were with Randy. It wasn't long and they were up and running and went all the way to the front. Then they walked over to the other side of the sanctuary, where older kids were that all had fabric they were dancing with. Our kids then also got some neon-colored fabric, including Sammy who I was still holding. They were having fun waving it and returned to the center, just in front of the stage, before rejoining the kids. Worship had ended, and some kids had Tammy and Emmy on their laps. It was all about Mother's Day. Sammy had been with me most of the time and was rather cranky, so he kept me busy keeping him happy. Then all the kids started taking roses to Moms in the room. It was the cutest thing, when Emmy came to me with a rose in his hand. At first he did not want to give it to me, but then he did. Then Tammy also gave me a rose. Somehow I ended up with four roses. We had to stop them for going back for more roses. Then we finally headed to the baby room, much later than usual.

They were immediately asking for the cars to ride in, but they were in the other baby room that was locked. They got over their disappointment quickly and started playing. Sammy wanted to go up and down the slide and did a few times with our help. Emmy climbed up into the baby bed and had fun playing in there. Then Tammy crawled under the bed, and they were having fun together. Sammy also wanted to go into the bed and tried really hard to pull himself up into a sitting position holding onto the railing, but he didn't quite get there.

Then they were all back on the floor playing. There was a little piano Sammy played with, then a car and other toys, while Emmy found a ball and had fun playing with it. Tammy found an erasable drawing board that she loved. She asked me to draw a sheep - several times - then did her own drawing.

With 6 pm approaching we started putting things back up, their shoes back on their feet, and left to return to the sanctuary. The service wasn't over yet. I had Sammy, and the other two walked straight to the front of the sanctuary. Tammy sat down on the steps to the stage, and Emmy was there too. Then they both ended up sitting with the pastors until the service was over. Then I got them, and we walked back to the back of the church, where we briefly talked with a few more people before putting them into the strollers and leaving.

We walked through the whole mall again to get to the exit right by the subway. We stopped at McDonald's to get some food, then went to the subway. When we got off the subway, we had 1 minute to make our train. I ran to the elevator but had to wait for it to arrive. And then other people came on as well that pushed the button for the exit which was before the train platform, and the elevator making an extra stop was enough for us to miss the train. Great! Thankfully it was not cold, and we were in no rush. It's 30 minutes until the next train, but there was a regular train with steps 9 minute before. They wanted to watch Peppa Pig, and so they stayed in their strollers and watched while eating. The train came and people were really nice, offering to help with getting the strollers into the train. We rode a few minutes, and the next stop was already ours. We got off and still had quite a walk to our building. At 7:35 pm we were back home.

Tammy was pretty cranky, and Emmy also a little. We took their clothes off, gave them some more food, washed them and got them ready for bed. By 8 pm they were all in bed, and I sat down by them. All three were quite awake and went through the usual spiel. First Tammy lay on my chest, then Emmy wanted to be rocked, which got Sammy jealous who also wanted to be rocked and came next. It took a while before Emmy was the first one to fall asleep. I tried to leave, but Tammy stopped me. It was some time before 9 pm before I was finally able to walk away. I went to the kitchen, made a salad, and took it downstairs to eat. Then I went back to work and worked way too late. I'll regret it tomorrow.
