Day 1018. I did not sleep well last night and was up for some time, thanks to jetlag. It was really tough, when the alarm rang at 7:45 am. The kids were immediately up. By 8:40 I was ready to leave with Sammy. Tammy insisted in coming with us. We could have all gone, but they were not ready, and we had to catch the 8:50 train, and so I had to close the door on a crying Tammy in her diaper.

We had a long way to go, crossing town, to Sammy's appointment and arrived there at 9:40. We waited a little bit, then it was his turn. They were measuring his legs first, then made a cast so they can make his new night braces. He was just fussing at first, but then started crying, when they were in the last stages of the cast and tilting his foot up. I comforted him, but then they had to do the other leg. I really felt for him. Once it was over, I washed the stuff of his legs as well as possible and dressed him again, and we left to go home. He enjoyed being out of the stroller in the train and looking out the window.

By 11:20 we were back home, and I took him downstairs to his siblings. Then I started getting lunch ready, and we ate just before noon. After lunch we put them all to bed, as they were pretty tired. I sat down by them, and they all fell asleep quickly. I was very tired myself, but ended up working instead of sleeping. After all it was pretty much the first time I had time to work. Emmy already woke up after less than an hour. He stayed around for a little, then went downstairs, where Randy was sleeping and woke him up. A few minutes later they both came upstairs, and Emmy woke his sister up. The three of us went downstairs, then Randy woke up Sammy to get him ready for his physiotherapy session and left with him.

Tammy and Emmy soon asked to watch Peppa Pig, and I let them, so I could work myself. At some point I stopped the video, and they started playing. First they were drawing, which Tammy loves doing, then Emmy wanted to go into the swing, where he had fun. He also played his drums, which he loves doing. At 4:30 Randy and Sammy returned. Sammy got a walker again to use, the same one as last time.

Just before 5:30 I went upstairs to make their dinner, and just before 6 pm they came upstairs to eat. Sammy wanted to talk to Grandma who they haven't seen in a month, and so we called her and talked to her. And I told the kids if they ate a decent amount of food, they could open the packages that had arrived. They ate more and opened them, then went into the bathtub. Just after 7 pm they were in bed, and fell asleep really quickly again.

Emmy walked up to me at about 9 pm, but went straight back to bed. Tammy woke up at 10:30 and struggled with falling asleep. She finally got up at 11 pm to eat, and then Sammy woke up too. Randy and I are really tired, and as I have an even earlier morning tomorrow, I'm about to go to bed.
