Day 1019. This is our third day back, and it's really frustrating that the kids don't seem to be able to get over jetlag. Last night was probably in the top 10 list of the worst nights since they were born. It was absolutely terrible, crying, crying, sitting in the chair by their bed, then another one, by making one happy making another one unhappy,... At some point I just could not go on and didn't care any more. I got very little sleep, and now tonight we've already had a tough time for the past two hours or so, and they're not going back to sleep. I simply can't do another night like last night!

And while the rest of the family got to sleep in, my alarm went off at 7 am. When I left the house at 8 am, everybody else was still asleep. Originally we had said that we were all going, but that was obviously not happening. It was raining and a little chilly. I had to take two trains and then walk quite a distance and got pretty soaking wet, except for my head, where my  umbrella protected me. It was the second session of the root canal my dentist started before our trip, and it only took a few minutes before I was back on the road starting my trip home.

By 10:15 I got back home, tired and exhausted. I had no choice but to lie down. I set my timer to sleep for an hour and was quickly asleep. After stopping the ringing of the timer, I fell back asleep and woke up, when the doorbell rang  because of a package delivery. It was 11:45, and so I went straight to work to make lunch. Thankfully I had planned a quick and easy meal, but we did eat at 12:15 instead of noon. Then we put them to bed, and the boys fell asleep right away, while Tammy needed a few minutes. I was very tired myself, but ended up working instead of sleeping.

After the kids woke up, having had a nice nap, Randy went on the balcony with them for a few minutes, then suggested they'd go outside to ride their bikes. That was a great idea as the sun had come out, and I had so much work to catch up on, I needed that time. And so I put pants and shoes on them, and they went outside, taking bubbles with them. I went on the balcony a few times to take pictures from there. Sammy has a walker again for a while, and he was in it for quite some time and moving around, which works well outside, in front of our apartment. They stayed outside for quite a long time.

At 5:30 I started making their dinner, and at 6 pm they came upstairs to eat. Today I gave in again and took some food to the bathtub, where they ate it. I just don't know why they won't eat it at the table.

They were in bed at their regular bedtime just after 7 pm and once again fell asleep pretty fast. But as mentioned in the beginning, it didn't last long before Emmy woke up, and he woke up his siblings, and he's been awake ever since, for about 2 hours already. And now he's crying for me, as Randy took my place in the chair by their beds. It's just so frustrating! I just hope they soon fall asleep and that they'll sleep after this and not do this all over again later tonight.
