Day 1021. Thank God that they were not up last night like the previous nights! We're close to conquering jetlag now! Emmy woke up once, but Randy sat by him until he fell back asleep, and Sammy was also awake for a short time. In the morning we still got up later than usual, but it was just some time after 8 am, not later, and Emmy was the first one up, waking us up.

Emmy was not eating anything at breakfast and then suddenly threw up. After breakfast we went downstairs and read a Bible story together. Then I got the keyboard out, and the kids immediately started playing and enjoying it, especially once I changed the keyboard to drum set. Emmy was crying, when I put the keyboard away again. It's still new, so I still have to get familiar with all the functions, and then I hope we can start singing and worshipping together.

I went upstairs to work some. Randy brought Emmy up twice, as he was saying that he was sick, but always went back downstairs after a few minutes. He did throw up a second time, but didn't any more after that.

I got so very tired while working that I eventually fell asleep. I woke up, when they came upstairs to eat just before noon. I got up and warmed up yesterday's leftovers, and we sat down to eat, and everyone ate, including Emmy. Then we put them to bed, and just after 12:30 everyone was asleep. I was finally able to make good progress working. At 2:30 they were still asleep, but it was time to wake them up. I turned the ocean off, and Tammy was up first, then Sammy. Emmy opened his eyes and stayed in bed. It was obvious that he was not feeling well. Randy went downstairs with Tammy and Sammy after a few minutes on the balcony, but Emmy wanted to stay with me, and so he lay down in bed with me, while I continued working. He then had some squeezies and said he wanted to go to church, and so we got them all ready to leave at 4 pm.

It didn't take very long before Emmy was his old self again, praise God! They were having fun during worship with the streamers, and Sammy loves playing with the push-in lid of the trash can sitting right there. He also enjoys looking under the curtain on the top of the stairs to the stage to see what's behind there.

I've been enjoying watching Emmy in worship, and once again today he walked to the front, up the steps, and sat down, then lay down, and just watched worship. I believe he can sense the presence of God. Just before the first half hour was up, they started coming and asking to go upstairs to the toddler room, which we did just after 5:30 pm.

We were not the first ones there. The kids immediately started playing, while Randy returned to the sanctuary to enjoy the service. It was Father's Day after all, and so he got the blessing of a prayer spoken over him, as well as a little gift. Sammy started playing with the cars, and Tammy sat down by the books, but then left to get the baby and the stroller. It was really precious to watch her play with the doll, rocking her to sleep, then putting her in her bed, and covering her up in the stroller as they were going somewhere. She was taking such good care of her baby!

Sammy soon headed to the stairs of the slide again, trying to go up the stairs, which is too hard for him without help. He was really excited, when he got to the top and laughing a lot, especially when I asked him to slide down, which he wouldn't do. He ended up going back down the stairs.

The program started, and we all sat down on the floor. The Mom being the teacher today did the greeting song for everyone, always one kid at the time. Emmy wanted it to be his turn all the time, but he was sitting at the end of the circle. They all got a kiss from the sheep and then hugged it.

Then they all got mirrors, then Bibles and did the Bible song. Even Sammy lifted his Bible up high today! Then the teacher talked for a while about things we can do with our Dads. We did a song, and then it was time for crafts. Sammy had already been asking for food for quite a few minutes at that point, so I sat down at the table with him to give him his dinner. The others also grabbed a few bites out of their lunch box. Then Tammy was first to get her hand painted so she could put a hand print on the paper. Another Mom started with Emmy before Tammy was done. Then they glued a heart onto the paper and had their names written on it, before they were free to color the paper however they liked.  That was their Father's Day gift for Daddy. After everyone was done, the teacher came up to me and offered for Sammy to have it done, and so I sat down with him, and she painted his hands, but he didn't like it very much, and it was hard to get his hand opened up to put the handprint on the paper.

Randy was back from the sanctuary and took Sammy, walking with him with the doll stroller. The other two were playing, and then we decided it was time to go. We put their shoes on and returned to the sanctuary. I was carrying Sammy, who was excited that Anna was at the bottom of the stairs as usual. She took him, and they had fun together. I caught Emmy and together we went to the other side of the sanctuary to find Sonja. Emmy was really excited to see her, and later Sonja told me that Emmy had asked her to come to our house again. It's been a long time since she was with us, since she now has a job. I then took Tammy to Sonja and Randy and Sammy came as well. We also saw some old friends we ended up talking to for a long time, as well as talking to Sonja. And so we left later than usual, but it had been nice to get to talk to people.

We had just missed the 8 pm train, when we got to the train station, and ended up taking a regular train with steps as it was 9 minutes before the other train without steps. And so we got home just after 8:30 pm, which was pretty late. We started getting them ready for bed, and before they were in bed, our food delivery arrived. The kids were in bed by 9 pm, but Tammy and Emmy simply would not go to sleep. I got frustrated wasting my time sitting there, when I had yet so much to do, and at 9:30 asked Randy to take my place. That allowed me to start working until Randy could leave them, which was only just before 10 pm. Then we went downstairs and ate while watching the beginning of a movie. However, given the advanced hour I left after having finished eating to continue working. And now it's already 1 am before I'm done with everything. Thank God they've been soundly asleep, and may it stay so all night.
