Day 1024. Last night Tammy was really restless for some reason, constantly calling me to either cover her up or give her milk, or for no reason at all. She did join us in bed pretty early on, and we let her, though Randy took her back to her bed once she was fast asleep.

This morning it was just after 9 am, when I looked as the clock as the kids were bugging me to get up. It was high time to do so. After breakfast, we went downstairs, where I read a Bible story to them. Then I gave them paper and crayons to draw, as Tammy asked for it, and left to go upstairs. It was once again 10 am before I got to start working. I made a quick lunch today, and at noon they came upstairs to eat. After lunch, we put them to bed, but having gotten up late this morning, they were not ready yet, and so I had them get back up and went downstairs with them.

Tammy wanted to look at a photobook, and so I got the latest one down, and we started looking at it. Once Randy came I went upstairs to work. At 1:30 they came upstairs to go to bed, and I had to sit with them until 2 pm before Emmy fell asleep last. Randy had left to go to the grocery store, which is harder to do with Sonja not around any more.

At 3:15 I stopped the ocean sound, and they woke up. We dressed them and left the house at 3:30 pm. We rode the subway, then walked, and got to the school in time for their 4 pm music class. Today only two other children were there, plus the teacher's 3-year-old son who we met for the first time. When she did the greeting song, I could not make Emmy or Tammy participate. They were dragging their feet somewhat during the whole class, not wanting to do what they were told, when it came to walking or running through the room. They wanted me to pick them up instead, and I did make Tammy fly a few times, when we were pretending to be aeroplanes.

The teacher had her violin with her again and played it, and it fascinated Emmanuel. He stood in front of her watching her and touched the instruments. She then handed out papers with a violin drawn on them and gave them crayons to color. Then she got a kids' book out and read the different pages, while playing the violin in between. Her son had a children's violin that she also got out.

And she had a rainstick again that Sammy wanted really bad. He was crying and throwing a fit, when he had to pass it on. Once everyone had had it, I got it back for him to hold, and he was happy again.

She did a good-bye song, and the class was over. Emmy immediately asked for us to go to the playground. I really didn't feel like it at all, and I didn't want to walk all the way to the one we went to last week. We left the school and walked to the tram stop, while I was considering our options. I decided we'd get on the first new tram coming from either direction to go to the one that was in that direction. The one going toward our house came first.

The kids have an annoying trait of continuing asking me for something after I've already told them that they could have it. I simply ignored them asking for us to go to the playground. We got off the tram and still had quite a walk ahead of us to get to the big playground closest to our house. As it was already after 5 pm, there were not as many children there as usual. I had Sammy and put him into the swing. Tammy soon ended up playing with the sand toys lying around and got upset, when one parent came to pick her child's toys up, as they were leaving. But there were still plenty of other toys lying around.

Emmy went down the slide a few times, and he's always drawn to other kids, who often don't want to play with him. The same way he often does not like it, when kids try to play with him. He climbed into the space under the slide and played with the toys there.

Randy took Sammy and they rode on the giraffe, which he really enjoys. After half an hour, we decided it was time to go home, as it was getting late. They were not very excited, but walked back to the strollers with me.

By 6 pm we were back home. We had a notice that the neighbor had our package, and so the kids rang the bell, and Emmy took it. He was excited, but there were just some squeezies inside. They were less excited once inside the apartment. They wanted to watch Peppa Pig and wanted to go downstairs, but neither one was happening. I put some food on their plates, and we sat them down to eat. Emmy seemed so very tired that he didn't want to eat but wanted me to hold him. Ironically once he was put to bed, it took him well over an hour to fall asleep, so he can't have been that tired. He was even so tired in the bathtub, that he came out first and went to bed first. Sammy came out last today, while he's usually first. But he was still eating, all the way to the end, while the others weren't, and so he had eaten the most tonight, while Emmy had basically not eaten anything. But they drank over 4 cups of milk together after having gone to bed.

By 7 pm they were in bed, and I sat down by them. After half an hour I was getting aggravating by them still not sleeping, while I was the one falling asleep. I finally left and let Randy take my place, while I went to the kitchen to get something to eat. They were calling for me, but eventually fell asleep. After having eaten, I took advantage of having a few, quiet hours of working on the computer. Time really flies right now, the hours and the days.
