Day 1026. Yesterday morning I got my keyboard out for the first time, and this morning they were asking for it again. We read a Bible story first, and then I got it out and started worshipping God. Yesterday Emmy had his guitar, and Tammy and Sammy a drum each. After a few minutes of worshipping, I prayed for each one of them. Then I put the keyboard on the floor for them to play. Randy sat down in my chair, and I heard them play for quite a long time. They really had fun.

After lunch they went downstairs, and at 1:30 they came back upstairs for their nap and fell asleep quickly. Randy left to go to the grocery store. I wasn't feeling well and took a nap myself. Our new friend Franziska was scheduled to come for the second time ever at 3 pm. At 2:45 she rang the doorbell and woke all three of them up. Often one or more of them are awake by that time. Randy wasn't back yet. I took them downstairs and had both boys lie on my chest, while consoling Franziska that it was okay. It didn't take them long to wake up all the way.

Randy returned and came downstairs. He had bought a ball with a handle to sit on and jump, and the kids were eager to have it pumped up. They had lots of fun with it. Then we put their pants and shoes on so they could go right outside our apartment. Our building was in the news a few months ago as having the ugliest playground in town. While defending it, the company who built and manages the house acted and put some stuff on the narrow strip along the house that was labeled "playground". Randy said that it was finished and that he wanted to check it out, and so we all went around the building to look at it. What we found was very disappointing. Round platforms on springs, a few tree stumps, and a weird metal excavator. Even a ping pong table, which is ridiculous, as the ball would constantly go across the fence and land on the street, as low as the fence is. They have clearly made no effort. And so we all left again to return to our apartment.

The kids finally got to go outside. Tammy wanted to play in the sandbox, and Emmy joined her. Sammy was using his walker and doing a great job. I gave them a bucket of water for the sand, and then left to go work.

By 5:45 pm they were so cranky that Randy let them watch Peppa Pig. And so I told Franziska she could go home. It's a blessing to have someone new come and play with the kids from time to time. At 6 pm we sat down to eat. They continued eating in the bathtub, and were in bed around 7 pm. I sat down by them, and it looked like they were falling asleep quickly, but Emmy still protested, when I left a few minutes after 7:30. Thankfully he accepted Randy sitting down by them, who then took advantage of the opportunity to take a nap himself, until getting up and doing some stuff that needed to be done.
