HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1030. This morning I woke up and found Emmy and Tammy to either side of me. I took them back to their beds, as it was really hot, but they were up early, and once again got into mischief doing what they were not supposed to. Every day now!
And that was just the beginning. Emmy had quite a naughty day today. Already in the morning, he did one thing after another, bringing my boiling level way up and really aggravating me. At 9 am the cleaning lady came - thank God. They said hello and went downstairs. As for me, I still had plenty of stuff to put away so she could clean, and that kept me busy for a while. Then I sat down at the computer to work. At 11 am I started cooking, at 11:30 Randy and the kids came upstairs because the cleaning lady went downstairs to continue there. They ended up going on the balcony and blowing bubbles.
At noon we sat down to eat - cremed spinach, which wasn't really the best meal after everything had just been cleaned. They ate well, we cleaned them up, and I went downstairs with them. The cleaning lady was also done and left. Randy left to go to the grocery store.
The kids and I ended up making music pretty much the whole time we were downstairs. I put the keyboard on the couch, which was perfect, as Sammy can sit there and play it, and he just loves it! Tammy wanted the recorder and played it, while Emmy played the drums. Then Emmy also came to the piano. He really enjoyed the one demo song, and we played it over and over, and he did a great job dancing to it in rhythm. He's so musical! Tammy did what she loves doing, which is looking at photobooks.
At 1:30 pm we went upstairs for their nap. Sammy loves the piano so much that he was crying hard, when I pulled him away. Tammy was also crying and stayed behind, but followed us up a few minutes later. They went to bed and didn't need long to fall asleep. As for me, I was so tired I fell asleep as well instead of working. Just after 2:30 the doorbell rang; some organization wanted a donation. It was enough to wake the boys up. At 2:45 Franziska rang the doorbell, and this time it woke Tammy up. We got them dressed and ready to leave. I had a doctor's appointment, which is why Franziska was going to dance class with them. Tammy was still waking up and started crying, when she understood that I was leaving. They left a few minutes after me.
I took the subway, then walked to the doctor's office. I hadn't been there since the pandemic started, and there are still other doctor's appointments I have to catch up on. Usually they have long wait times, but not today. After less than an hour I was back on the road again. They did an ECG and took my blood pressure. I was absolutely shocked, when it was completely normal, not elevated as it always is at the doctor's office. They also drew my blood, I talked to the doctor, and have to come back in a month as he didn't have time to do the thyroid ultrasound today.
Leaving at 4:30 pm, I decided to head to the dance school, where their class was ending at 4:45. That way I'd be able to relieve Franziska and let her go home. When I got there, they were just coming down the stairs to leave. They were really excited to see me. Franziska told me that Tammy had asked for me the whole time. She even took one picture that she sent me.
We started walking towards the subway, for Franziska's sake, and were talking the whole time. We took the subway for one stop, then walked to the other line, where Franziska got on going the opposite direction than us. We got on our train, where they were watching Peppa Pig, and got home earlier than usual, at 5:40 pm, as we had not stopped at the grocery store. However, Randy still needed to go, as the store at lunch time had not had everything on our list. It's definitely unusual for stores in Austria not to have any eggs!
Randy and the kids went on the balcony, while I started making their dinner. They kept coming to me for cheese with bread and ended up eating more of it than ever, which was great to see. Then we sat down at the table to eat, where they didn't stay very long. They all went into the bathtub, while I put the rest of their food on a plate to take there, and put some stuff up. Just a minute after joining them in the bathroom, we discovered that Emmy had pooped into the water. Yesterday it was Sammy. We hadn't had any of that in quite a long time. And so they never got to enjoy the water, as they all came out right away. We put their pj's on, but it was still early. And Randy had to leave for the grocery store before it closed for the day. And so I went downstairs with the kids. They wanted to play the piano again, and all three ended up playing it at the same time. Unfortunately I didn't have my phone with me; it would have made a great picture. A few minutes after 7 pm I told them it was time to go to bed. Once again Sammy was crying hard as he wanted to continue playing the piano. They all went to bed, and I sat down by them. It was Emmy who fell asleep last, later than expected, but still at a reasonable time.
I had nearly fallen asleep myself and was very tired. Instead of turning my computer on to work, or getting something to eat, I ended up lying down and fell asleep. I don't usually sleep in the evening like that. I slept about 90 minutes before I woke up; it was already 9:30 pm. It took me a while to get going, as I was still tired, but I finally got some food and then went back to work. Emmy woke up some time after 11 pm, crying for Mommy, and I had to go sit with him, and then again some time later, and so I simply stayed with him, computer in my lap and working right next to him. Now it's after 1 am and high time to go to bed.
