HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1031. For the first time in days they had not gotten into trouble before I got up, but maybe the reason was that there had not been enough time. I had a dentist's appointment and needed to get up, plus we expected the Mobile Support lady at 9 am. I had to leave the house at 8:40, and the kids were not happy about it. They had just finished breakfast, but were not cleaned up or dressed yet. The lady never came, as she was sick, but I'd never listened to the voicemail they had sent yesterday to let us know.
I was extremely tired this morning, as I went to bed around 1:30 last night. I closed my eyes in both trains I had to take, then I had to walk quite a bit. I got to the dentist's office at 9:40 for my 3rd of 4 root canal sessions. By 10:30 I left there again. Next week the kids will be going with me, and they are looking forward to it. By about 11:20 I was back home.
I could barely keep my eyes open, but it was time to get cooking. At noon they came upstairs to eat. Tammy and Sammy ate well, and everyone had icecream. Then they wanted me to go downstairs with them, as we've done the past two days. Even though I was so tired, I went downstairs with them, where we were having fun. Tammy wanted to draw and look at photobooks, and all three got to swing, which they always ask me for as Randy rarely puts them into the swing. At 1:30 it was time to go upstairs, and it's always Tammy who doesn't want to go at all. She did follow us upstairs not long after we had left.
They all went to bed and fell asleep rather quickly. Then I went to bed myself. At 3 pm Emmy came to me and lay down next to me, but it was really time to get up. I forced myself out of bed, and we started getting everyone and everything ready for us to leave at 3:30 pm, which we did.
It was the last music class today. At first Tammy and Emmy were tired and not participating much, but then they got into it and were having fun. The teacher had her 3-year-old son with her again. The kids were dancing with fabric, and she brought out all kinds of instruments for them to play with. Then she gave them papers and stamps, and they had fun stamping the paper full. She did the final good-bye song, and then the class was over.
Emmy was asking to go to the playground. During the class he had hurt the teacher's son, he said on purpose. The boy was crying hard, and I told Emmy we were not going to the playground unless he apologized, and that's the reason he did. And so we started walking towards the playground that is in walking distance.
They were having lots of fun there again. Tammy immediately saw the sand toys on the ground and wanted to play with them. Two girls were playing with them, and so Tammy sat down nearby and was watching them play for quite a long time. Emmy went to the ship and steered it, as he's the captain, then enjoyed the horse on a spring. Sammy did all kinds of different things. It wasn't long before Emmy discovered the water feature first, then I went over there with Sammy, and in the end Tammy also came, and they were all having fun playing with the cold water. Sammy was having so much fun that he cried hard, when it was time to go home, and I pulled him away from the water. We walked to the tram station, and were lucky to get on the new tram sitting there. They have a lot of old trams running on that line that we cannot use as one of the strollers doesn't fit through the doors.
Just after 6 pm we were back home. We picked up the packages the neighbor had taken for us, and the kid were eager to open them. I've ordered some stuff to do with them in terms of kindergarten education. I also got some finger paint, and of course they wanted to use them right away. I ended up going downstairs with them, got one color out and gave them white paper, and Randy stayed with them, so I could go make their dinner. Just after 6:30 they came upstairs to eat. That worked out well, as I want to put them to bed later anyway, since it takes them so long to fall asleep. They ate well, and even finished all their food in the bathtub. It was about 7:40, when they were all in bed, and given that it was later than usual, it seemed to take them forever to fall asleep. I tried to leave, but to no avail, and had to get my computer so I could make good use of my time sitting there. It was pretty late before I could walk away without any protests.
I continued working for a while before getting something to eat, then continued working. It's midnight now, and I need to make sure I'll go to bed really soon.
