HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1032. Once again they were up early, and once again Emmy got into trouble. I told them we'd close their beds back up again and make the walls higher that they can't get out, if they keep doing this every morning.
After breakfast we went downstairs, and a few minutes later my Mom arrived. They hadn't seen her in 6 weeks. She stayed for two hours, playing with them. I stayed downstairs working on my computer for much of the time. At 11 am she left, and just before 11:30 Randy left with Sammy to go see his physiotherapist. She was able to get another model of a walker for Sammy that the technician was bringing, and so Sammy had to be at the center at noon - right at lunch time, which was inconvenient. Sammy now has the walker at home for the next 2 weeks or so to try it out. Randy said he immediately started walking with it and that he likes it at lot more than the other one. It looks like that's the one we'll be getting for Sammy.
I went upstairs with Tammy and Emmy, where I let them watch Paw Patrol, while I was making lunch. At noon we sat down to eat. It was weird that it was only the three of us and seemed so much more quiet. After eating I cleaned them up and dressed them, and by 12:45 they were in bed. We already had to leave the house at 2:30, so time was short to sleep, which is why they needed to go to bed earlier. At 1 pm Randy and Sammy came home. Emmy was already asleep, but Tammy was still up. Randy put Sammy straight to bed, so Sammy did not eat any lunch. Once they were all asleep, I went to bed myself and took a nap.
I woke up, when Emmy walked up to me. It was still rather early, and he lay down next to me for a little bit, then got up again. Our talking was enough to wake Sammy up early. I had already dressed Tammy and Emmy for class, so they could sleep as long as possible. Us talking then woke up Tammy, so we were all up a little earlier than needed, and left the house at 2:30.
Tammy was tired and pretty cranky. We took the subway to the end and walked to the school, where the exercise class had been these past few months. But today a new one was starting, with a different teacher. The one on Monday was booked full, so only this one was available. That means that Tammy and Emmy alone will attend with me, as Sammy usually has physiotherapy at the same time.
The class was taking place in a different, smaller room with less equipment as the other one was not available today. It was nice to have a new teacher so everything was fresh and new again. And I thought she did a great job. She did more action songs with the kids, not just letting them play around with what she set up. As the kids won't have dance class in summer, that's a good thing. They were all having fun. Emmy got noticed again. Tammy and Emmy were the most lively kids there, and our kids also seemed to be the oldest, as the class is for 1.5-year olds to 3-year olds. Emmy was throwing balls, when he should have taken them to the box, and the first one he threw actually landed in the box, and he had thrown it from quite a distance. Good shot!
They enjoyed the hoops as they'd only had them once with the other teacher. And Sammy crawled through the tunnel a few times, and was pretty fast doing so.
When there was something that a parent had to do with their child, the teacher took Emmy to do it with him, so I could do it with Tammy, and Randy had Sammy for most of the time.
After the class ended, they immediately asked to go to the playground that was right there. It was a very hot day. Emmy went straight for the merry-go-round, while Tammy was heading to the slide. However, it was a metal slide, and as it was in the sun, it was burning hot. You simply could not use it. She went on the swing instead, but we did not stay long. We headed back to the subway, looking at all the people in the artificial lake having fun in the water. I guess we'll have to bring our swimsuits next week.
We saw a grocery store by the subway and went inside to pick up a few things. By 4:45 pm we were back home. They were all really tired and cranky. We went downstairs, and Emmy ended up laying on my chest for 10 minutes. They wanted to draw, and so I gave them crayons and printed it out coloring pages. Tammy is getting better at coloring within the lines, while Emmy is not even trying. They wanted to keep watching Peppa Pig, like they had on the subway, but I said no, so that caused some more tears. Just beofre 5:30 I went upstairs to make their dinner.
At 6 pm they came upstairs to eat. We'd bought fresh corn for the first time that I had cooked, and they enjoyed eating it. They ate most of the rest of their food in the bathtub. Somewhere around 7 pm they were all in bed. Emmy was asleep first, then Sammy, and then Tammy, but it took a while. I fell asleep myself, as I was very tired, and got up to leave them around 8 pm.
I started working on my computer until I got so hungry I had to go get something to eat, then I continued working.
