Day 1033. This morning Emmy was all proud that he had not wreaked havoc or done anything he shouldn't have. After breakfast we dressed them and left the house just before 9:30 am. We took the subway and then had quite a walk ahead of us. When we reached the address, there was nothing there, so I called the theater where the children's literature festival was being held. They told me the address was printed wrong and told me where to go. I still had to call another time before I found it. Just before 10 am we finally got to the theater.

It was an old building, a typical theater, and so there were stairs into the lobby. We had to carry the strollers up there, then there was a place to leave them. Then we headed up the huge staircase. Sammy needed a diaper, and so we needed to figure out where to change it. The lady at the information helped us out and told us where to go to find the books for the little ones.

Tammy loves books and was in paradise. She immediately grabbed one and brought it to me to read to her. They had two bean bags on the floor, and some pads for kids to sit on, and I was lucky to get one of the bags. We sat down, and I started reading to her, one book after another. Randy and Sammy returned and sat down by us. Emmy refused to sit down by us and wouldn't even let me read one book to him. Instead he was looking at the books where they were all being displayed, and I have a picture of him sitting down there and looking at a book. He never really sat still. He was also talking to a lady sitting on the floor with books, and looking at what the other kids were doing.

After over an hour we decided it was time to go. We left and were walking back to the subway, where there was also a McDonald's. And so we ended up going there for lunch, as it was late and I had no time to cook. The only thing Tammy and Emmy eat there are fries, but today Randy got Emmy to eat some meat with cheese. Tammy still refused to try it. They shared a milkshake as dessert, and I showed them their milk beards on the phone, and took a picture. After we were done eating, they blew up ballons for the kids that they took with them.

Just before 12:30 we were back home. It was still early for bed, and so I went downstairs with them, where we stayed for an hour. They wanted me to get the piano out, and it's Sammy who just loves, loves, loves to play it. He can't get enough of it and cries, when you pull him away. He not only sat there playing it, but also got up on his feet to play it. The physiotherapist told us though that that is not a good position for him, not good for his hips. Emmy and Tammy both wanted to swing, which they don't hardly get to do with Daddy, and only Mommy lets them swing all the way to the ceiling. Emmy was touching the ceiling with his feet today. They were both greatly enjoying. And of course Tammy wanted to look at photobooks again, those where they were little, and those that are more recent.

I was pretty tired myself the whole time. At 1:30 we went upstairs, and they went to bed. They all fell asleep pretty fast, then I went to bed myself. Randy started going through boxes of bigger clothes, as some of their clothes are getting too small.

I woke up, when Emmy walked into the room. He lay down next to me, but only for a moment. Then Sammy woke up, and Randy went downstairs with both of them. I fell back asleep and only woke up, when Tammy was stirring at 3:30. And so we got up together. I took her downstairs, and turned my computer on to finally get to work, for the first time today. I had less than two hours anyway, which wasn't much. At one point Randy came upstairs with the kids, as he had shown them two Micky Mouse pj's he had found, as well as a batman pj, that he had put on the three of them. I took a picture, and it turned out to be a really good one of them.

I wanted to have dinner half an hour later than we have been, but Randy said that they were really hungry, and so they came upstairs at 6 pm to eat. I had made an omelet, and we had leftover corn from yesterday, but Tammy and Emmy still both wanted bread with camembert cheese, while Sammy was only interested in the corn. Then they went into the bathtub, where they ate most of the fruit , while having fun.

Around 7 pm they were in bed. The boys were pretty tired, but Tammy had had a long nap. I was tired and after 45 minutes I was out of patience and left. I went to the kitchen and started making my salad I hadn't eaten in a long time, as it's so much work and time to make. Tammy and Emmy were upset and got out of bed and were having fun. Randy was still finishing his food, and so we ignored them. Amazingly, they both went to bed by themselves after a while, and Emmy then fell asleep. Not so Tammy, who kept calling for me to come and hold her hand. I was callling back that I was coming as soon as I was done, and I did. It was somehwere after 8:15 pm. I sat down by her and took her hand and literally only needed to stay for 1 minute before she was asleep. I took my salad downstairs, ate, and then went back to work.
