Day 1007. Last night I went to bed just after 12:30 am. Some time during the night I realized that both Tammy and Emmy were in bed with us. At 6 am Emmy woke up, drank some milk, and got up to go to his own bed. Tammy woke up at 7:45 and left for her own bed just after 8 am. However, she soon came back with her brother. Surprisingly Sammy was still quiet, and I could only hear him just before I got up at 8:30.

I emptied the dishwasher and asked them what they wanted to eat. They finished the cantaloupe, then they had oatmeal. Soon they got up to play. I cleaned them up and dressed them, and we went downstairs, where we sat down to read a Bible story. Then they wanted to draw again, and so I got the table, paper and crayons out for them. I went upstairs, and Randy went downstairs a few minutes later.

It's packing day today, but first I had to finish the French translation of the newsletter and get it out. I was done by about 10:30, did a few more things, and then got started on it for real. At 11:15 I switched with Randy, who was making omelets for lunch and went downstairs. The kids wanted to look at a photobook and picked the very first one which shows my pregnancy and their birth. After a few pages of little Tammys, Emmys and Sammys, they had enough. I let them watch Peppa Pig, Sammy was playing on the floor, and I started some more travel preparations that could only be done downstairs. It took Randy some time to get started on the cooking, and so it was going on 12:30 before he called us upstairs to eat. One omelet was ready, and I cut it up and put it on their plates. They especially like the crispy bacon, and Tammy ate most of it and hardly any omelet. Emmy preferred eating the omelet, and Sammy ate both. Then they all had icecream. They went potty, and I cleaned them up and dressed them. It was already nearly 1:15, so hardly worth going downstairs for them. And so they stayed and were in bed by 1:20.

They were all wide awake, of course. I encouraged them to sleep, and then Tammy fell asleep first. When I walked away at 1:40, she was the only one asleep. Randy took my place and it took until 2 pm before Sammy got quiet last. At 3 pm Emmy already walked into the room, wanted to drink some milk, and then went downstairs, where Randy was getting ready for our trip. At 3:25 Tammy walked into the room. She also wanted to drink some milk and then went downstairs. Emmy wanted to go outside, but it was a cool and rainy day. Then he wanted to watch videos, but I said no, and so he started crying. I went upstairs anyway. At 3:35 Sammy woke up, and I took him downstairs to his siblings. Then I returned upstairs to do some serious packing.

It was a busy afternoon but I got a lot done. By the time I went to the kitchen to make their dinner at 5:30 our suitcases were ready to be weighed and the carry-ons were pretty much ready. Randy came upstairs to weigh them, and the kids came with him. Both suitcases, though full, were way below the weight limit. At 6 pm we sat down to eat. They ate the leftover omelet from lunch and had some fruit. Emmy was in the bathtub first, while his siblings were still at the table and Randy was looking for and picking up pacifiers everywhere. Tammy then joined him, and Sammy did last. They had fun in the bathtub, then came out one after another. By 7 pm they were already in bed. However, they were not tired.

All three were very active, maybe because they knew our trip was starting in the morning. It was very difficult to get them to calm down. I left a few times, but Emmy was still crying for me to come back, so I did. It was 8:40 before I was able to walk away because he was finally asleep. I got myself something to eat, then went back to work. Randy was also getting things ready, and now that it's going on 11 pm, there's a few more things I need to do. Our friend is coming at 8:30 in the morning to take us to the airport. Please pray for our trip!
