HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1034. Finally a morning, where I was staying home! I called Paul and got some work done, while making a chicken soup. At noon they came upstairs to eat and ate pretty well. This time it was Emmy who ate everything, and Tammy who needed encouragement to eat more, while Sammy has been a good eater recently. After their icecream, I cleaned them up, dressed them and went downstairs with them.
For the next 45 minutes or so we were having great fun. All three got to swing, which they love doing, especially as I push them so hard that they can touch the ceiling. Tammy wanted to draw, but not for long, as well as to look at picture books. But most of all they wanted to continue putting stickers into the Peppa Pig book, which we started doing yesterday. They love it, and it's done really nicely.
Just before 1:30 we went upstairs for their nap. Randy had left to go to the grocery store. They all went to bed and I stayed until they were asleep. The boys didn't need long, but Tammy a few minutes more. At about 1:45 I was able to walk away, but I only had about half an hour to continue working on the computer. At 2:15 I started making their dinner boxes, then I picked their clothes for church out and opened the curtains so they wake up. We dressed them and left on time at 3 pm. Tammy was very tired and cranky as usual.
We took the train and then the subway. Walking through the mall to go to church, we stopped at the grocery store to try to buy what Randy could not get at the grocery store, then continued on to church. Today we went straight to the front and left side of the sanctuary, near the drums that they love watching, though nobody was playing the drum set today. Randy changed the boys' diapers, one after another, while I stayed there with the other two. Tammy was having fun, running around and dancing with me, while Emmy was standing around and watching most of the time. Sammy wanted to get to the drum set and stood right by the stage. After half an hour they were asking to go to the baby room, and we left.
At the baby room I got their dinner boxes out, and they were having fun playing, while grabbing something from time to time. Emmy enjoyed playing with the ball, and so did Sammy. Then Emmy started climbing up the slide to make a summersault into the baby bed, and he did a very good job. Tammy was having a harder time with it, but Daddy didn't like it and stopped the exercise class. Since they were all tired, they were upset, and I went outside on the terrace with Tammy and Emmy. They were having fun out there, and were watching the bumblebees and yellowjackets exploring the flowers. After a while we went back inside. I was really tired and really just wanted to sit down.
A Dad came in with his son at some point, and Sammy crawled right to him, as if he knew him really well and stayed and interacted with him for the longest time. And the Dad was doing a great job with Sammy.
When the service ended, we packed up and returned to the sanctuary. We moved the strollers out of there and went outside on the terrace, where everyone was already gathered for the first baptism in that location. I had been telling the kids in advance that that was happening tonight, but Emmy was still saying that he was scared, and Tammy was a little unsure herself. Somebody gave up her seat for us, which was really nice, as I had all three kids. After some time Sammy got cranky, and Randy took him. I had Tammy and Emmy sitting on my knees and was reassuring them. They sang one song, and then it was time for the baptism. We watched the lady be baptized, and Tammy didn't like it at all and wanted to leave. Emmy wasn't thrilled either. And so we got up and left, with Tammy saying with a loud voice so everyone could hear that she wanted to go to McDonald's. That was not the plan as we had eaten there yesterday.
We walked through the mall and got a Happy Meal to go at McDonald's. They got a nice children's book and enjoyed eating the fries. After we got off the subway, we only had just over 10 minutes to wait for our train. I was very surprised, when it was a normal train with steps, and not the one that usually comes (with no steps). And so we had to carry the strollers up the steps into the train. The kids had been watching Paw Patrol and continued watching it, all the way home, where we arrived at about 7:15. I decided to still let them take a bath, as it was not that late, and they were having fun and eating some more. They were in bed before 8 pm. Even though they were so tired, it took them a while to fall asleep. I was glad, when I could finally walk away and get something to eat, and then continue working. Around 11 pm Emmy woke up and wanted Mommy, and so I moved to the chair next to his bed to continue working.
