Day 1042. Once again they were up some time after 6 am, and some time after 7 am we got up as well. Emmy had once again done all kinds of stupid things he shouldn't have. After breakfast we went downstairs, where I read a Bible story to them. Tammy wanted to draw, so I gave her some paper and crayons. The piano was still sitting there from last night, and so Sammy wanted nothing but to sit by it to play it. I put him there, then went upstairs to work.

Some time after 11 am I went to the kitchen to make lunch, and at noon they all came upstairs to eat. None of the kids ate. Tammy cries in pain every time she tries to eat, and Emmy started talking about pain in his mouth. When I looked at his tongue, he had the same blister on it, just on the other side. And Sammy would not eat either and was cranky and a little warm. Tammy could only eat icecream, as it was soft and cold, but the boys didn't get any; at that time I did not know Emmy had a blister as well. After cleaning them up and dressing them, I went downstairs with them.

It was earlier than usual, closer to 12:30, as lunch had been so quick. Randy had put up the piano, and so I put Sammy into the swing, which he greatly enjoyed. I turned the timer on for each one of them, as they all wanted to swing. Tammy also wanted to look at photobooks, while I just had some physical fun with Emmy. We also put stickers into the Peppa Pig sticker book. At 1:25 the alarm went off, and we went upstair so they could go to bed for their nap. They were asleep pretty fast.

I really wanted to sleep myself, but I didn't get to. I was working instead. Sammy already woke up after 50 minutes and went downstairs with Randy. Emmy woke up another hour later, and Tammy right after him. At that time I was already in the kitchen and making their dinner-to-go. It was not worth for them to go downstairs any more. Instead Randy and Sammy came upstairs. We dressed them and got everything ready to go. Tammy was even more cranky than usual, and Sammy was also pretty cranky. We left on time at 4 pm.

But all the way to the train arriving we were considering whether it wasn't smarter to stay home today. All three were pretty cranky. We took the train, then had to wait rather long for our tram. Tammy and Emmy were in the double stroller, as the other one is not usable any more, and they always wanted me to push them, which wasn't always  possible. Randy was the one pushing that heavy stroller up the hill to church.

We got there just before the service started. We walked to the front, where the flags were already laid out, and the kids went straight to them. I left them there and went to the bathroom. I ran into a friend there, and we ended up talking for a while, which was really nice. I rarely really get to talk to people outside our family. A little girl even came in one time and told me that my daugher wanted me. I finished the conversation and returned to the sanctuary.

Tammy was running right towards me, and then Emmy too. They both wanted me to hold them. Then another lady came up to me, and I don't know how it happened, but we also ended up talking for a few minutes, which was like balm to my soul. Then the kids were already asking to go upstairs, and looking at my phone, I saw that it was already 5:30 pm. And so we went upstairs.

We were the first ones in the toddler room. It was my turn to stay and for Randy to return to the sanctuary. Sammy right away wanted to play in the play kitchen, and so he stood there playing, while I sat behind him making sure he didn't fall over. Emmy found a fire truck that made noises, and Tammy was playing with the dolls and strollers. Other people arrived, and at 6 pm the music indicated that the program was starting. I grabbed Sammy, and we all sat down in a circle.

After the general greeting song, we did one that greeted each child specifically, and the kids all got a kiss from the sheep. They each got a little mirror, then a Bible, and we did the Bible stong. Then one of the Moms did the teaching. As part of that, the kids did a little race, and Emmy was the fastest, as he had claimed before. He also claimed being the oldest and tallest etc. which was not the case. Then the kids each got a paper to color. It showed Jesus with kids. They did a great job. The photo shows Emmy's on the left, Tammy's in the middle, and Sammy's on the right. I tried to feed Sammy some food, but he barely ate anything. Tammy was not eating at all, and Emmy also ate little. They soon started playing with the trains and rails, while Sammy was exploring the shelves. Randy returned just before 7 pm, and Sammy was eager to crawl to him. We started cleaning up, and then left the room to go back downstairs to the sanctuary.

They were in the middle of communion. Sammy kept asking for Anna, but we did not see her anywhere, which upset him somewhat. We were standing in line for communion, but the line was moving so very slowly that we decided to leave. However, Emmy still wanted to say hello to Sonja. And so we went to the front, as she was standing by the communion table. Emmy was happy to see her, and we talked briefly. Hopefully we get to see her at our house again soon.

We also saw Franziska, and then left church to go home. We were lucky that the tram was arriving right away. The kids wanted to watch Peppa Pig, of course. Then we had another 15 minutes wait time for the train. Around 8:15 pm we were back home. I got the icecream out for all three of them, as they would no eat anything else, then we got them ready for bed. At around 9 pm they were all in bed. I sat down by them, and they were soon all asleep. Then I made myself something quick to eat, as we had not ordered in tonight, and we did not sit down together to watch a movie. It was a night like any other instead. After eating I went back to work. It's the fourth night for Sammy's new braces, and I again had to remove them after less than an hour, as he was crying. But he started crying quite a few times tonight, which makes me think it's because he's getting sick too. Emmy woke up several times as well, crying in pain, and crying for me, and it wasn't that easy to calm him down. Now it's after midnight, and as I did not have a nap today, my eyes are falling shut while writing, which hasn't happened to me in a while. We're all going to the pediatrician in the morning.
