HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1065. It was a typical morning, and today I did open the squeezies they brought to me before I had gotten up. They had two each. While we were having breakfast, I told them that Wolfgang & Angela were coming. Then I said to them that their Grandpa's name was also Wolfgang. Then I asked them what Daddy's name was. I already knew that Tammy knows my name. Emmy answered, "Sweetheart." I started laughing out loud! Then I told them what Daddy's actual first name was.
After breakfast we went downstairs, got our little tables out, and I set the table for our upcoming visitors. At 9:30 they arrived - two years after I had invited them to our new apartment. What a joy to finally have them come to our house! I gave them a quick tour, and then we stayed downstairs. I got some tea and cake for them, and then we sat down to eat and talk. It was great catching up with them, and the kids got a lot less attention than they are used to getting, but they were fine with it.
After a wonderful two hours they needed to leave. Just at that time Emmy and Tammy wanted to go potty, and so they did. Emmy was using the toddler seat for the regular toilet, while Tammy was using the potty, and they both had success. Then I went upstairs to the kitchen and put a lasagna into the oven. Time was short, and there was no work involved that way. At noon Randy and the kids came upstairs to eat, but it took another 15 minutes before we actually sat down to eat. They all ate well, had icecream, and then they started watching songs for kids, which they enjoy. Sammy has really been enjoying standing in the bed, holding on to the railing, so he was happy too, even though he was not as interested in the videos. I asked them whether they wanted to go downstairs and at least one of them said no. So I let them continue watching the videos and went to work on the computer.
Just before it turned 1:30, it was time for bed. They threw a fit, when we stopped the video, as they said they wanted to go downstairs, especially Tammy. I told them they had chosen to watch the videos, and now it was time for bed. It did not take them long to fall asleep, and then I returned to my computer to work. However, I was so tired that I soon closed my eyes and fell asleep. I woke up, when I heard Sammy, and then Emmy walked into the room asking for milk. Randy had gone downstairs, where it is cooler, and so I had no choice but to get up and give him the milk. Then I took both boys downstairs. Nap time was over for me. Tammy was still sleeping, and I waited until after 3 pm to turn off the ocean waves which was enough to wake her up. After having had milk she also went downstairs. As for me, it was time to get ready for my 4 pm class. I taught for 50 minutes, and then the doorbell rang just at the right time. It was a package for the kids that they eagerly opened up, then started playing with the content. I left them and returned upstairs to do some more work, getting ready for upcoming classes.
At 6 pm Randy came upstairs with the kids, and I started making their dinner. Randy let them watch Paw Patrol until dinner time. At 6:30 we sat down to eat, then they continued eating in the bathtub, and at about 7:35 they were all in bed. I sat down by them and was surprised that they fell asleep rather quickly, Tammy needing the longest. Not long after 8 pm they were all asleep. I stayed a little longer, busy with my phone, and then went to the kitchen to get myself something to eat. It was 9:30 before I got to sit down to eat, and after eating I went back to work. And suddenly it's already midnight.
