Day 1088. No alarm this morning, thank God, but of course they were up early. It was close to 8:30 before I got up. After breakfast I took them downstairs, where we read a Bible story, then I went upstairs to get ready for my 10 am lesson that lasted until 11. I had a few minutes to wrap up before going to the kitchen and starting to cook lunch. The kids came upstairs early again, but it was after noon, when we sat down to eat. After they'd all had icecream, I cleaned them up and already dressed them for leaving the house later. Then I gave them a few minutes to watch songs before putting them to bed for their nap just after 1 pm. I sat down by them, and by about 1:15 they were asleep.

I returned to my computer and continued working, preparing for upcoming lessons, but time was way too short. It was already 2:10 before I noticed how late it was; we were supposed to leave at 2:15, which was not possible. We woke them up, got them and everything ready and left the house a few minutes later.

Emmy was on the tricycle, while Sammy was in the stroller and Tammy walking. When we reached the subway, there were only 2 minutes left to catch the train, and so we stayed and waited for the subway. We rode the 3 stops to the current last stop, where we had to get on the bus to take us the rest of the way where the subway normally goes. Then we still had to walk to get to the school. Emmy now has no problem pedaling and was showing off his skill, moving without me pushing him.

This was the last session of this class. Now they'll be on break until the end of September, and then we'll be in another location with the teacher they had during the last year. There were only three other children there today. Everything was set up, and the kids immediately started playing. The trampolin is always popular, but they also wanted to have the big balls and started jumping on them. Randy took over from me, when Sammy insisted on being with me. I ended up on the big mat with Emmy jumping on me and sitting on me, with me moving up and down and making him laugh. I'm glad Randy took a picture, as I'm rarely on any pictures.

Last week I had moved their legs up, while they were hanging off the bar, so they'd turn right side up holding on to the bar, and they wanted to do that again today. After some time of playing, it was time for some action songs. We sat down on mats and did the songs we usually do. They were all having lots of fun.

Then the teacher dumped out a box of big and small balls, and the kids had to pick them up and throw them into the box. I put Sammy on the floor who was excited to crawl to the balls as well to play with them. Then one of the kids, a regular, came over to him and hugged him. But then he put his knee on his face and pushed his head away before leaving. Sammy started sobbing, which is the last stage before crying. I picked him up and comforted him and explained to Randy what had happened. I was upset about the kid's behavior, and his Mom heard me and started arguing with me that her son had done nothing wrong. I explained what he had done and that he needed to learn how to treat other children, but she defended him, still claiming he had done nothing wrong. And then she basically said that I should not bring a child like Sammy to class if I did not want something like this to happen to him. Thankfully I already had something else to say or I would have gone off on that comment! When it comes to my children, I'm gonna be a lioness defending them.

The class continued with the usual songs and pulling them on the mats, the caroussel song and then the goodbye song. And then the last class was over. It was too hot to go to the playground, but we went to where they had the nebulizers and water fountain so they could cool off. It was a really hot day today. They were having lots of fun with the water, and Tammy was the first one to put her head under the running water, with Emmy then doing the same. Sammy was also having so much fun playing with the water that he threw a fit, when we said it was time to leave. He was very upset.

The kids were soaking wet as we got on the bus to go back home. Still, after we got off, we first went to the drugstore as there was a sale going on there. They had automatic doors, like most stores, and Tammy put her hands on the door, while it was opening, and her hand got caught between the door and frame. I was still at a distance, as she had run ahead, and ran to her, when I realized something was wrong. Her hand was stuck in there, with her screaming, but I pulled it out, as the door was not closing again with us standing there. I held and comforted her. Some skin had come off her fingers that were clearly smashed to a degree. Someone from the shop came with a wet, cold paper to put on her fingers. Tammy was calming down, and we went on to buy what we had come for. Her fingers will probably hurt and change colors for a few days.

After the drugstore we went into the grocery store right next to it. They wanted to have a kid's cart and each got one. We were putting items into both carts. They helped put everything onto the conveyor belt at checkout, we paid, and walked over to the subway to go home.

On the way there we walked across a square that also had some water flowing and a little hill with some stuff on top. They wanted to check it out, and so we did. Those wheels were going really fast. I was turning Emmy and he just fell off while I wanted to take a picture of him on it. Randy put Sammy on one as well and turned him a few times. But we had bought icecream and needed to get home, and so we left after a few minutes.

On the subway they wanted to watch Paw Patrol even though we only had 3 stops to go. At about 5:15 we were back home.

We took their wet clothes off and put dry ones on them. The kids wanted to continue watching Paw Patrol, which they ended up doing until 6 pm, while I was working on the computer. At  6 I went to the kitchen to start making their food, and Randy and the (upset) kids came upstairs. They ended up going on the balcony, and came to me a few times to pick up some bread with cheese. It was after 6:30 before we sat down to eat. They all ate pretty well, then they went into the bathtub, where they continued eating, while playing. I was extremely tired again. And somehow they had spent more time than usual in the water, as it was already 8:10 before they were all in bed. I sat down by them, and soon the boys were asleep, but not the girl. It was after 8:30 before I was able to leave.

Instead of getting something to eat, I continued working for another hour. Then I got myself something to eat before continuing to work. I had so much to do that it got later than usual, as it's already after 1 am. Now I still have to clean up the kitchen, then I can go to bed as well.
