HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 1090. After breakfast I took the kids downstairs, where we read a Bible story together. Then they wanted to draw, while Sammy wanted to play the piano. I gave them what they needed and went upstairs to get ready for my 10 am lesson with a new student. Sonja arrived just after 10 am, which allowed Randy to go to the grocery. It was such a blessing to have Sonja with us again, even though it was for just over 3 hours! After my lesson was over, when I went to the kitchen to cook, I could hear Sonja laugh, as well as the kids laugh, which was just wonderful to listen to. One time Sammy cried, and I went downstairs to comfort him. His brother had just hurt him, and I got Emmy to apologize to him. Then I returned upstairs to continue cooking.
Just after noon we all sat down to eat. They all ate well and then had icecream, before going into the bathtub to get clean and have fun playing with the water. They still wanted to go downstairs with Sonja, where they continued having fun with her until just before 1:30. Then they came upstairs to go lie down for their nap. Randy had left for another store and was not at home. Sonja said her good-byes, while I sat down by the kids until they were asleep. Then I left them with the intention to also take a nap, but it was a while before I got to close my eyes. I set my timer and did. I hadn't fallen asleep yet, when it was Tammy, surprisingly, who came and lay down next to me. She wasn't feeling that great today, was coughing a little and had a runny nose. That's probably why she lay down by me. It wasn't long until Emmy also came and lay down on my other arm. And then the three of us all slept that way. It's a very rare thing, and I'm glad I got Randy to take a picture of this precious moment. I then took one, when Emmy was just waking up. It was 3 pm and time to get up.
We got them all ready and left the house on time just after 3:15. It was much cooler than it has been. Sammy was in the stroller, Emmy on the tricycle, and Tammy walking. We got to the train platform early, and then got on the old train that had a few steps to get in. After the train we took the subway and arrived at church just before the service was starting. We went to our usual spot in the front, on the side. At first everyone was really quiet and not moving. I had Sammy who was interested in the drums, and so I finally took him to the stage and let him stand there. Emmy then joined us there. They soon asked to go to the baby room, and just before the first half hour was up, we left.
Unfortunately the broadcast of the service into the room has not been working, and so we could not even see what was going on in the sanctuary or watch the service. The kids were really excited that the cars from the other kids' room were there and immediately started running around the room with it. Emmy was sitting on the only car of its kind at first. When he got off, Randy put Sammy on it, as it's the only car he can sit on, and he can even make it move. Emmy was throwing a fit, which you can see in one picture. He wanted his car back. I kept trying to reason with him that there were other cars he could use but that this was the only one Sammy could use, but he didn't really care. But soon it was forgotten. There were toy glasses there that Randy put on Emmy's nose, and I have to say that he looked really good with them.
After a while I decided to lay down on the couch as I was so very tired and stayed there for quite some time, while they were playing. Randy also lowered his head and closed his eyes, while holding Sammy on the car by the table, where he was playing.
Just before 6 pm, when it was time to leave, Emmy rammed the car into Sammy's face, and on purpose. Sammy started crying, and when I picked him up, he had a busted lip and was bleeding a little. I talked to Emmy to make him understand what he had done and to get him to apologize, which he did not want to do.
Because of this situation, we left later than planned, but then the service was also running late. When we got back to the sanctuary, we sat down in the back row and waited for the service to end. They were impatient to leave and go to McDonald's. After the service, we talked to a few people, then we left.
We walked through the mall until we reached McDonald's, where they all sat down by a table, while I left to order and pick up the food. The Happy Meal toys have been terrible, and once again they only had ONE,, some cardboard stuff to put together, which is just not age-appropriate. Still, Tammy was playing with it the whole time we were there. She still does not want to try the meat but eats only the fries. Emmy ate a lot of hamburger with cheese tonight - without the bread. And they all love the milkshake.
I checked the train times on my phone and realized we needed to leave right away. We were done anyway and made our way to the subway. One subway train was just leaving, but we still made it to the train station on time. We got on the old train, where Tammy and Emmy were watching Paw Patrol on my phone. Just after 7:30 we were back home.
We got them all ready for bed, and by about 8 pm they were all in bed. I sat down by them, and by 8:30 I was able to walk away. I made myself a salad, having hardly had anything at McDonald's, and then ate it, which took quite some time. Then I started working on today's pictures. Now it's midnight and time to go to bed - after I've cleaned up the kitchen.
