HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 2156. I had set my alarm for 8 am as I had a 9 am student and I still needed to finish packing before. However, the kids were up before that of course, and I got up as well to start packing. Once I was done, I sat down to prepare my lesson and got myself some breakfast. I then taught until noon. While I was teaching, the kids enjoyed the last few hours with the four kids of the house. Tammy and Emmy got aprons on and made chocolate chip cookies and brownies with the girls. Sammy loves the dogs, so he played with the dogs. Randy loaded everything into the car.
When I was done teaching, I packed up my computer and went upstairs. They had ordered pizza for a last dinner together with us. We all sat down to eat and talk and got to eat the dessert the girls had made. We had fun. I then remembered that I had not paid the toll for the day we arrived there as it had not worked on the website so I called their support number. It took me 15 minutes on the phone to sort it all out and get it taken care of. After we were done eating, we took a picture together, then it was time to say good-bye.
It was 1:15 pm, when we drove off, and we had just under 4 hours of driving ahead of us. The kids were on their tablets, and I turned the internet on for them for much of the time. Even Sammy is now at the point where he can watch Peppa Pig for a few minutes. I tried to sleep but never got more than a few minutes before someone woke me up again.
We chose not to take the toll roads as it was only an additional 10 minutes but it meant zigzagging on country roads, going west for a while, then going south for a while. And because the internet was on for the kids, the directions were not on the car display for Randy to see which meant I also had to direct him and make he'd not miss a turn. That was another reason for not getting to sleep even though I was extremely tired.
Randy wanted to get some Braum's icecream so we stopped for gas, then he got himself the icecream. However, he got the cheaper one which is not the one they're famous for. We had another bathroom stop, but that was it. At 5:30 pm we arrived at the Walmart that was right next to our hotel. Emmy and I went inside to get a few items plus dinner for us to eat at the hotel. It took us half an hour, then we crossed the parking lot to the hotel. It was 6:10 pm. We parked and went inside to get our room keys. Then I went to the room with the kids, while Randy unloaded the car.
I put the pasta into the microwave, then the lasagna. Tammy and Emmy both wanted the pasta, so they sat on the chair together. However, the laughing and fun didn't end well so I separated them and let them eat one after the other. Once the lasagna was ready, I could put some on a paper plate so they could all eat at the same time. It was the perfect amount for all of us.
Then the kids couldn't wait to put their swimsuits on so we could go to the hotel pool. It wasn't big and it was outside. We hopped into the not so warm water. It was quite windy which made it feel cooler. It had rained a lot so that the temperature had dropped. We had lots of fun in the water. Then we got out and returned to our room, where we took a hot shower before the kids put their pj's on. It was 8 pm but I still read them a story. Then I prayed for them, and the three of them went into the one queen-sized bed, Sammy being in the middle. It was close to 9 pm before they fell asleep. I then turned my computer on to work on the pictures and write the report. However, I was getting so tired that I could not go on any more. It ended up going on 1 am before I went to bed.
