Day 2163. This morning Sammy was up first, then Randy, while Tammy and Emmy were fast asleep next to me. After a while we also got up and got dressed to go downstairs for breakfast which ended at 9 am. It was weird to be the only ones in the breakfast room given how full it had been the last few days. We ate, then we went to the room where I started packing while the kids were watching TV, and Sammy was on his tablet. Once I had packed, Randy took everything to the car. And once everything was in the car, it was time to leave the room, check out and get into the car. It was 10:50 pm by the time we drove off.

We had 3.5 hours of driving ahead of us - at least that was the prediction. But we had to cross all of Dallas as we were going straight east, and there was lots of traffic at times. We got to see the skyline of downtown Dallas. We ended up driving three hours straight. When we were discussing where to eat lunch, we decided to eat at Applebee's, one of my favorite restaurants, as we had only been there one single time. I got the app on my phone which gave me a free appetizer. I looked up where there was a restaurant, which was in Marshall, Texas. Everyone was okay with waiting that long to eat.

It was 1:50 pm when we arrived at Applebee's. We ordered, and the kids were given children's menus with lots of riddles and stuff to do on them, which they started doing. There was tic-tac-toe on there as well, and the kids started competing against each other. In the end Emmy won as he was able to see better when his sister had a chance to win.

Then the food came, and we had a good time eating. I hadn't had a steak in quite a while and was tired of the fast food, so it was perfect. After 90 minutes we were done and left again to continue on our way. We had one hour left to drive to our hotel where we'd spend the night. It wasn't quite half-way to Bellefontaine, Randy's village where we arrive tomorrow. Before we stopped at the hotel, we bought some water in a little store, then I went inside the hotel to check us in. The receptionist was very nice this time around. I got the keys, and we drove to our door as this hotel as all the rooms open to the outside. It was 5 pm by the time we walked into our room. Randy unloaded the car, while we were all ready for our bathing suits. Since the pool at the last hotel was broken, we were eager to go into this hotel's pool.

After we had put our bathing suits on, we made our way to the pool. It was quite big, and we were the only ones there. The sun was burning down from the sky. As Sammy was a little ready from yesterday, I had put sunscreen on him but not on anybody else. We had a great time in the water. Tammy showed me that she still knows how to swim and even competed with me. Emmy seems to have forgotten it all. Sammy had lots of fun with me.

After we had spent quite some time in the pool, we got out and returned to our room. The kids sat down in their bed with their tablets which is when I took that cute picture of them. Soon they started saying they were hungry, so they got leftovers from lunch and from what we still have from our trip. Everyone had enough to eat. Then it was time to get them ready for bed. We read a story, I prayed for them, and they went to bed. It looks like it's a double-bed again which is quite small for all three kids. Last night Randy had moved to the bed with Sammy after both Tammy and Emmy had joined us in bed. They were soon asleep, and I had my computer on to work on yesterday's and today's pictures. Randy soon went to bed, while I got extremely tired around 11 pm and even fell asleep. It had been late again last night after all. However, I wanted to get all the pictures done tonight, so I kept pressing on. Now it's 1:15 am and time to go to bed.
