HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 2164. I was so very tired when everyone was getting up this morning as it had been close to 2 am before I had gone to bed. I didn't even want to get up at all and lay back down until everyone was ready. Then we went to the breakfast room. We were the only ones there, and breakfast was very simple with few choices - nothing like the hotel in Dallas. They had croissant with sausage, egg and cheese in the fridge there that you could put into the microwave to warm up. There were also pouches of oatmeal you just had to add hot water too, and some yogurt. Tammy was happy about the yogurt, Emmy tried the croissant and didn't like it, and Randy ate the oatmeal, letting Sammy try everything. I was glad I still had a bagel and cheese to eat.
After breakfast we returned to our room and put our swimsuits on. There was enough time to enjoy the pool one more time, and the kids had a great time. Randy was watching us sitting by the pool. After having played for a while, we got out and walked to our room to get changed and finish packing, and Randy loaded everything into the car. By 10:40 am we were able to drive off to continue on our journey to Mississippi.
We then drove for 2.5 hours without stopping. I was very tired and closed my eyes when I could. The kids were having fun on their tablets. At 12:50 pm we stopped at Chick-Fil-A in Vicksburg, MS, having just crossed the Mississippi river which is the border between Louisiana and Mississippi.
I had ordered on the app on the way there and just had to enter the table number. I stayed at the table while Randy and the kids went into the playground. Soon the food arrived, and as the kids could see that through the window, they returned to eat. We had a good time eating, and as soon as the kids were done, they returned to the playground to continue playing. Randy joined them once he had finished and not only crawled up with Sammy but also crawled into the tunnel with him and then went down the slide with him.
After 1.5 hours it was time to continue on our way. It was 2:15 pm, and we had 3 hours 20 minutes left to go. The tiredness soon overcame me and I tried to sleep and probably did for a few minutes. By 5:35 we arrived at Randy's mother's house. The kids had already been saying how hungry they were. They were very excited to see their Grandma again, and a few minutes later their half-sister and nieces arrived as well. The kids immediately started playing with them. And then it was already time to eat. After having eaten, they continued playing hard with each other. When 8 pm was approaching, which is their bedtime, we said good-night and drove up the hill to Randy's daughter's house. Randy unloaded all our bags, while I got the kids ready for their shower. After having showered, we still read a story, and so it was 9 pm before they were actually in bed. Tammy was asleep first.
I then turned my computer on to work on the pictures, reports and some other work stuff. Now it's half past midnight, and I hope to get to bed soon as I'm very tired.
