Day 1952. I was able to sleep in with plenty of interruptions before Randy went downstairs with the kids. After I got up, I went to the kitchen to cook lunch. At noon we sat down to eat. After lunch, the kids were occupying themselves, while Randy took a nap. I never got to take one as I had work to get done. Eventually Randy and the kids went downstairs. At 3:30 I went to the kitchen to make their dinner-to-go boxes, and at 4:15 pm we left the house together.
We took two subways and got to church just before the service started at 5 pm. We sat down, and the kids went to the front to do some drawing. Then Tammy and Sammy ended up having fun on the floor right next to us. At 5:30 it was time to go to the kids' program, and I went there with them while Randy stayed in the sanctuary. And today Sammy didn't ask for Daddy even once.
All the kids sat down in a circle, and the teacher asked some questions. Then we did two worship songs. Sammy wanted to stand, so I held him up. He vigorously moved his arms to dance along. Then they played musical chairs. Sammy was hungry, so I got his dinner box, as well as the car he likes to sit on. He ate and had fun with me and the car. Emmy dropped out of the game earlier on, while Tammy was fourth. Then the kids sat down at the table to do some drawing and crafts. Sammy then wanted to build with the Duplos, and later Tammy joined him and they worked together. Emmy was playing soccer with the other boys and having fun.
The service ended before 7 pm, and Randy came to get us. Sammy was disappointed that his friend Anna wasn't there, but I ran into two old friends I hadn't seen in a long time. Then we left to go home. It was just before 8 pm (their bed time), when we got home. We got them ready for bed, I prayed for them, and they went to bed. Emmy has been coughing pretty bad today, and he later woke up crying, but thankfully went back to sleep.
After they were in bed. Randy and I each got ourselves something to eat. Then I started working on the pictures and the report. Now it's midnight, and Randy is about to go to bed, while I still have to clean up the kitchen.
