HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Day 2089. Since my student had canceled, I was able to go back to bed after Randy and the kids had left and did not have to set an alarm. It was nice to be able to sleep in. It was about 11:30, when I woke up and I took my time getting up. At noon I went to the kitchen to warm up leftovers. Randy and Sammy returned home at about 12:30 so that Randy could take an earlier bus than usual to go pick up Tammy and Emmy. Sammy first watched videos on the projector, then started playing with my door while I prepared for my 2:10 pm student and for us to leave the house right after.
Randy and the other kids returned a few minutes after I had started teaching. Thankfully that was fine for Sammy who went to the door to greet them. I finished teaching early at 2:50 pm so that Emmy and I could leave the house right away and be on time.
We took our scooters and rode to the subway. After two stops we got off and rode our scooters the 3/4 blocks to where the training center for a famous soccer club in Vienna was located, or rather the training center for their youth. Without our scooters it would have taken too long. We got there early and waited with the other kids, all born in 2019, and their parents. Eventually a coach arrived and took us to the soccer field. He said we could stand on the sidelines and watch. Emmy was pretty excited. He was clearly the smallest of all the kids there; there were about 20 in total.
They all got a ball and started playing. There were three coaches with them. They designated three kids at the time who had to try to get a ball from any of the other kids. Emmy's turn also came. Then they separated a third of the kids from the rest, and that one third played on one side of the field, while the other two thirds went to the other side where they had set up different things. It looked like the third had already been sorted out, and Emmy was in that group. Those boys still had fun playing with each other. Two coaches were with the other kids, and the third coach was looking over there for most of the time as well.
After 45 minutes the training was over. Before the kids were sent off, one of the coaches approached us parents and told us that none of the 20 kids would make it to the next round as they were not good enough. He told us to have them play in a soccer club somewhere and try again in the future.
Then the kids came to us, high-fiving the coach and saying good-bye. Emmy changed his shoes again, and as we walked out, he already asked me who had made it to the next round. We grabbed our scooters and rode them back to the subway that we then took home. I asked Emmy who has the best plan for his life, and he gave the correct answer: Jesus. I told him that whatever happens, God's best plan for him was what he wanted, and not making it to the next round was what was best for him. He then told me that he was not upset anyway.
By 4:40 pm we were back home. Randy had already left the house with Tammy and Sammy at 4:20 pm to take them to Sammy's wheelchair class. I prepared for my 5:30 student and went to the kitchen to make their dinner. Emmy was watching videos while eating.
I then taught from 5:30 to 7:20 pm. Randy and the kids returned at around 7 pm and then also started eating their food. After I was done teaching, I prepared for my 8:10 pm student, then I went downstairs with Tammy and Emmy for piano practice. Back upstairs, they went into the bathtub. Then it was already time for me to sit down at my computer for my 8:10 pm student. And so Randy told them a story and put them to bed.
At 9 pm I was done teaching and got myself something to eat. Then I went back to work. Now it's 12:30 am and I still have to take care of the kitchen.
